If your magazine only held 4-5 rounds then you would have to reload constantly. That would slow you down.

By maybe 2 seconds.

Assault riles can be fully automatic with the flip of a switch.

They're already illegal to own unless you have an FFL.

They need to outlaw bump stocks and large magazines.

Is that really the problem?

That would be a good start!

Still think Trump is a better choice than HRC? Depends on if you've been suckered.?

Since the crimes they are accused of doing were done years before they worked for Pres Trump (with the exception of Flynn who lied). Yes, Pres Trump was a better choice than HRC.

Those semi-automatic rifles are not assault rifles. They just look like them. Assault riles can be fully automatic with the flip of a switch. They need to outlaw bump stocks and large magazines. That would eliminate the the problem. If your magazine only held 4-5 rounds then you would have to reload constantly. That would slow you down.

A twofer tonight:

From their separate corners each man pursued his own strategy. Bannon did all he could to roll over Priebus and Kushner in an effort to prosecute the war for Trumpism/Bannonism as quickly as possible. Priebus, already complaining about "political neophytes and the boss's relatives," subcontracted his agenda out to Ryan and the Hill. And Kushner, on one of the steepest learning curves in the history of politics (not that everyone in the White House wasn't on a steep curve, but Kushner's was perhaps the steepest), and often exhibiting a painful naïveté as he aspired to be one of the world's savviest players, was advocating doing nothing fast and everything in moderation. Each had coteries opposed to the other: Bannonites pursued their goal of breaking everything fast, Priebus's RNC faction focused on the opportunities for the Republican agenda, Kushner and his wife did their best to make their unpredictable relative look temperate and rational.

And in the middle was Trump.

Another one roped in to believing fake news.

Fire and Fury - 11 hours ago by Butterbean - Reply

Bannon's pecking order:

Almost nobody represented what Bannon opposed as well as Paul Ryan. The essence of Bannonism (and Mercerism) was a radical isolationism, a protean protectionism, and a determined Keynesianism. Bannon ascribed these principles to Trumpism, and they ran as counter to Republicanism as it was perhaps possible to get. What's more, Bannon found Ryan, in theory the House's policy whiz, to be slow-witted if not incompetent, and an easy and constant target of Bannon's under-his-breath ridicule. Still, if the president had unaccountably embraced Priebus-Ryan, he also could not do without Bannon.

Nope, not going to nitpick with you. You understand full well what I mean.

In other words. You can't do it.

Active HS Shooting in Fla - 12 hours ago by Emperor of Kingwood - Reply

Something that can kill 58 and injure 851 more in 10 MINUTES with 1,100 rounds.

Something that can kill 14 children and 3 adults and injure 12 more in 6 minutes.

That's any semi automatic rifle or shot gun.

Witchy, unfortunately even common hunting guns and semi automatic pistols can hold 10-20 bullets. I believe my Winchester lever action .22 can hold 11 rounds. That's as old school as it comes. The "assault" rifles are no different than other guns. Large capacity magazines, bump stocks, etc should be the target. Otherwise gun owners are going to get (rightfully so) concerned on what defines an "assault" rifle. All of that scary looking stuff on those AR-15's has very little to do with killing more people than say with a 20 round semi-automatic pistol. The reason they are involved in all of the killings is 1)they look scary, 2)it's the gun of choice in most video games, 3)They are like Jeeps. Everyone wants to customize theirs in some bad azz way so there are a lot more accessories on the market.
However, if you outlaw "assault" rifles the custom market only shifts its focus to the more classic hunting guns. Then they become "assault" rifles. So there lies the problem.

What did You think when you heard there were 18 school shootings? - 12 hours ago by SagaciousSighFiGurl - Reply

The Cliff notes version:

So, there are 18 incidents in which a gun was fired inside a school or on school property.

Three -- Italy, Texas, Kentucky and Florida -- were mass shootings.

But of the other shootings:

Nine involved no deaths and no gunshot injuries.

Two were suicides, with no other injuries (including the one at the closed school).

Three were unintentional (although one caused injuries).
