Those are laws that have only been in place in the last 100 years, or less-

That's true, but it doesn't change the fact that those rights were granted by a male dominated government. I suspect, under the influence of their wives or influential women in their lives.

I agree it's because of pressure from women- things do change, slowly- but that doesn't change the fact that men have the power to do that. It hasn't been very long that women have been in Congress, with the ability to affect laws.

My point is that women have always had the ability affect laws by influencing the law maker. Now, some women have direct ability to do so. Either way, the end result is the same isn't it?

Its just a matter of whether you want to focus on the means or the outcome.
