A State Department spokesperson denied that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson ever called President Donald Trump a "moron" as reported earlier today.
this is the headline from ABC,
and here is the quote
"The secretary does not use that type of language. The secretary did not use that type of language to speak about the president of the United States. He does not use that language to speak about anyone ... he did not say that," spokesperson Heather Nauert said this afternoon.
It sounds like a denial - but it is not one - It is carefully constructed, and gives Ms. Nauert wiggle room, by never actually denying the actual quote, if the story gets confirmed.
Way more importantly it gives Tillerson wiggle room in the story gets confirmed and throw Ms. Nauert under the bus like a few other spokespersons have been.
If he didn't say it, when he had the microphone in front of his face, and asked a direct questions, all he had to do was give a direct answer - he did not.
If your truly American you apply the appropriate level of discernment to both.
But that doesn't mean one will. Case in point. Trump supporters like bob will blindly support 45 rather than admit how horribly wrong that decision was. How presumptuous to assume one can tell a real American vs a fake American via ones judgment on any given topic. LOL bob
What IS self evident, or at least should be, is that anonymous sources are not verifiable and therefore you have to blindly believe the reporter.
Are we better because of the pentagon papers, Watergate ?? Confidential sources are often insiders - often with a conscience that makes them want to report things they believe the American people should know -
All real news agencies would prefer named sources, but un-named sources with collaboration have been valuable sources of information to the American people for decades - and should remain so.
Maybe he did say it, maybe he didn't. Who cares? Literally 95% of the MSM coverage of Trump is negative, and they don't even mention or at best gloss over anything positive that he's done. Look at the stock market, the jobs report, the surge in hiring in a newly business friendly environment. Those are big news stories, but hey, Rex Tillerson called Trump a moron. They're all propaganda outlets, nothing more.

So true!!! If Pres Trump was called a moron, that is way more important than anything else because it fits in with their agenda.
Miss Understanding --- 1 hours ago - quote - hide comments Anyone with shades of grey matter knows he cheated with the Russians.?
You going with that. Good luck. Since not one vote was changed....how can you say he cheated. What PROOF do you have? I didn't vote for him but I think you Trump haters are really stretching for anything. Down to and including whether someone called him a moron. You guys have discussed for days. Unbelievable!
Your interpretation. I was merely pointing out one would assume having a post pointed out as being that of a "tool" would be inherently better than being a total and abject tool in real life. You should know.
