to set your thermostats tomorrow between the hours of 3 and 7 pm to 80%. Or your air conditioner will be in overdrive. Just fyi.

Basically what that is... most home ac units can only lower the air temp by 20 deg. SO, tomorrow when it's 101, if your AC is set to 80 or lower (actually 81), it will just run and run and never shut down.

it is 87degrees outside right now. our thermostat is set on 72. our unit has not turned on since 6:00 this evening. guess our house is very well insulated is all i can say.

you are right and we do not have all that brick, cement and asphalt to heat everything up, too. makes a HUGE difference.

Will it help to crank it down early in the morning when it's less hot? I don't think I can live if it's above 80 LOL. 

this makes no sense to me at all, actually. if someone cranks the a/c up when you leave in the morning for work and then turn it down when you get home, it has to work hard to play catch up. why not just set it on an acceptable temp and leave it alone? looks to me like around 7:00 there will be a huge surge from the hit of everyone turning down the thermostat.
