Lets just say what I heard on the scanner was crazy

well went out as burglary in progress around 1100-1130. Lady was on the line with police said 3 guys were in her house. Said one pointed a gun at her. She then went and hid in the bedroom said she had 2 kids hiding under their beds. Police arrived and she kept saying they were still in the house, with one guy on the stairs. Cops couldnt get in the house but could see the stairs and noone was there. She then tells the dispatcher that the bad guys are shooting, but the police on scene dont report any shooting. The cops break a window to get in and then the cops disregard the helicopter and tell the dispatcher everything is under control. weird (now was it real or was someone wanting some attention I dont know) 

oh and at one point she said one of the guys might be on the roof, the cops seemed not to happy with the whole situation 

Oh.... She maybe overindulged during the game. Or she is just a nut. Can you imagine the police? They had to have been pretty nervous going into that situation, only to find, nada.

Well the lady may have been nuts, but I have to say I am really impressed with the police response. First of all, for Kingwood, we are lucky to get a lot of a response. But dang, they got the police helicopter out mighty darn quick. Great job police!

Is Village Woods in Harris county, and if not, who responds? 

I beleive Village Woods (the street) is in King's Forest or Bear Branch which is City of Houston. Outside the city limits Harris county deputies respond. In Montgomery county it would be their deputies. I'm SWH and I heard the helicopter last night too but it didn't stick around for long.

Well, neither the locals nor the public information officers downtown can find an event on Village Woods - or a "significant event", as they called it, last night - period. Super - you wouldn't have a more exact address, would you? 

not an exact address but it was in the 3100 block. I dont know why they wouldnt have a record of it. It was a CODE 1 CALL that kept radio traffic closed on the channel for over 20-30 minutes. FOX was flying overhead, a sargeant was on scene with at least 2 other deputies. They broke the ladies window to her house to get in. Hell I even know their was a barking dog in the house at the time. The complaintant stated 3 black males were in the house with guns. She even told the dispatcher that a gun was pointed at her. Whether this really happened who knows but this is what she was relaying to the dispatcher, who was relaying it to the units on scene. 

then all of a sudden it was like everythings clear and they opened the channel back up 

Update: I just got off the phone with my dh and he just left this same woman's house.. Without giving too many details about her, last night's call is nothing for anyone to be worried about and nobody was in any danger.. She does have some problems though and dh convinced her to go and get checked out.. 

She best get some kind of help, cause if the police go thru another call out like last night, they will assist her in getting that help...

Lol, I think my dh scared her into going and talking to someone-either that or go to jail.. Fortunately though, no helicopters had to be called out today also..
