Hope the house fire is not too bad...my bff's parents live on the next street over that backs up to Garden Lake. 

i'm about to drive that way again to get the kiddies from gym class. i'll let ya know if the street is still all lit up from firetrucks. 

It is the Boyd's home and they are all okay.

I was wondering what happened. Glad that they are all OK. 

No IM it's not Dr. Boyd. Mr. Boyd was our realtor when we moved here. Sadly about 10 years ago they had a house fire that gutted their home. Just breaks my heart that this has happened again to them. So very thankful that they are all ok. They are a very very nice family. 

Mommikynz, I think I know them. Is his wife a therapist?

Oh I so hope it isn't the same family. They had a house fire about 10 years ago too. And her dh was lucky to get her baby out of the house before it was completely gone.

Heartfelt prayers to that family if it is them.

The house belongs to the Boyd's and they are thankfully all ok. It is the same family that lost their home 10 yrs ago. Hard to believe this is happening again to them. They have been at my house all evening and are all well and have a place to stay for the night. Prayers are very appreciated. The house wasn't totalled but will certainly need to be gutted. They think the fire started in a wall outlet in an upstairs bedroom. Wiring in those darned old houses! Most of the fire damage was upstairs but the smoke went all over the house. Again, prayers. Such a wonderful family.

Oh I am so sorry to hear this.

That family has been thru the wringer time and time again. Yet when you meet them, their faith is so strong, it is humbling.

Fallon that is the family you know. They are always so upbeat and happy. Many prayers coming their way. They have family here too. 

I ran into several mutual friends of ours today, and I let them know about the fire. Let them know they are being prayed for by many. 

Those poor people. What are the odds this would happen to them again?

I saw their other BB house burn down; the one near Tree Lane and Woodland Hills Dr. I saw the fire trucks in front of BBE the other day, too.

I bet they'll have a hard time getting a house insured after this. The insurance industry sucks. 

Just thinking about how BB seems to have more fires than the other villages.

This is the Boyd's second. There's a newer home on Lost Lake and Riverlawn that replaced one that burned down. There's a vacant lot on Tree Lane from a fire that leveled the home overnight. There was another devastating fire not long ago that destroyed a home off of Woodbridge one block north of Tree Lane.....almost done being rebuilt.

That's five. Do any of the other villages have this many issues?

Maybe it was Prock, the main builder in BB. 

I replaced almost all of my power receptacles. I am also going to replace the fuse box. The fuse box installed in BB was recalled a while ago and the company that made them went out of business. They are unsafe.

The electrical work done by the BB builder is shoddy....
