The Houston SPCA has rabbits for adoption.

Rabbits are like cats/dogs and can live 10 to 15 years.

To care properly for rabbit it will cost a lot more than $20.

Lots of rabbits people bought and no longer wanted.

Get a artificial rabbit instead.

If still want rabbit, please do research first.

We had a rabbit for about 2 years. We got it at an area feed store. He lived in and out of a cage in the house for a while. But we were never able to potty train him successfully (rabbits are pooping machines) and he chewed on cords. So we moved him outside. He would dig at the fence line and escape from time to time. We would find him and put him back in the back yard. Eventually a neighbor's cat killed him. Apparently cats are notorious for chewing just their heads off and leaving the rest of the body intact.

I have seen a large selection of bunnies at Animal Ark on Northpark. I honestly don't recall the prices of any of them. The people who run this store offer exceptional customer service and their pets are very healthy. They will give you lots of advice on caring for your bunny. Their prices seem to be similar to PetSmart. One thing I like about them is the ability to buy ONE tube of Advantage or Frontline instead of having to buy a 6 month supply like at the mega pet stores.
