My little one is OBSESSED with the movie, RIO! She has this princess desk where she sits to eat and color, etc.... And she doesn't even like the Disney princess stuff! Replacing it with this wood table I found at a yard sale a few weeks ago. I painted it white, then yesterday started painting the RIO mural on it. Should be finished by weeks end. (Only working on it in the evenings) So far she loves it! :) I am getting a piece of glass cut for it today.

Mainly free hand ~ I take transparency paper, and trace the outline of all of them from the picture I want, then project the outline onto whatever I'm about to paint ~ the table here, and outline the projection in pencil ~ Then the rest is free hand... their details, eyes, noses, mouths, clothing, etc.... The projection tracing is more of a getting the scale of the objects right for me.

And I do paint murals on walls, and do faux painting as well!
