1314 is open, just came thru from 59 to Cumberland. I could see and smell smoke too.

i just came in from Humble. there is a smokey haze surrounding the whole area as far as the eye can see any direction you look. i live in the trees so never see that much of the sky to see what is going on.

we do not need wind because it causes the fire to spread but we do need wind to low the smoke away. i will take the smoke over fire any day though. 

Where is the smoke at? Our volleyball girls are at the high school until their games tonight (Porter High School). Let me know if I need to give the coach a heads up! 

it is just a haze from all of the fires around, i am sure. 

The Porter FD never called me back. I am wondering if it was haze too. It was really bad when I called to ask where the fire was.
