crazypinetrees --- 12 years ago -

Not sure about cheap but there is the Rose Garden in Porter and another place out off 242 and another one off 1485 in New Caney....I think its called Peach Creek Plantation.

loveable home --- 12 years ago -

The Nathaniel Center off Russel Palmer

elle --- 12 years ago -

I used to work at The Nathaniel Center -- they have a lot of options. You should check them out.

My husband and I got married at The River Oaks Garden Club. If you're looking for somewhere that doesn't include anything, they've got a great base rate. But if you're not looking to provide your own vendors, don't go there, because it gets pricey depending on what vendors you pick.

Otherwise, that place is just gorgeous. :)

The Nathaniel Center off Russel Palmer

They were a bit pricey to me when a friends son got married there a couple of years ago.

Polly Ester --- 12 years ago -

how cheap are you talking about and what size do you need?

loveable home --- 12 years ago -

About 1000-1500 for the place and we will find someone for the food

MoreToLife --- 12 years ago -

Oh, I was going to suggest 7F Lodge. It's near College Station, but it is pretty expensive. Gorgeous place!

Laurabeth --- 12 years ago -

There's a really cute church on Northpark, just east of West lake Houston that has a beautiful location for weddings.....v.ery reasonable.

IbarraFam222 --- 12 years ago -

I think the Humble Civic Center is in that price range.

If you are looking for something around $5000 for food as well check into the Cadillac Bar and Grill near downtown. They have banquet rooms you can rent out and the food is reasonably priced. You do not have to pay extra for security. I think they also provide linens for the tables.

Laaurabeth, that church is very cute! It would be a great place to take wedding photos.

If you live in Montgomery County, you can rent the East Mongomery County Improvement building. off 59 north of 1314. http://www.emctx.com/rentals/index.php

I think it would help to know how many people you want to have and what kind of style of wedding you want, how close to KW you want to be, etc. I have gone to a lot of weddings in all price ranges.

Some of the smaller and more budget friendly ones have been my favorites but some had some pretty original venues that might not be for everyone.

Well I can tell you where NOT to go...Incredible Delights that is doing business out of the old Atascocita Country Club. I have waited for 3 months to get a quote from them after a set down with the owner. She sent me a picture of the cake that she could do for me and told me that she would send me a quote for the entire wedding.......still waiting!!! I emailed her after I didnt hear anything from her after 2 weeks...nothing. An employee came on here and mentioned them. I said that I hoped that they had improved their customer service. She contacted me, followed up with all of my information and said that the GM would contact me with a quote later that day or the next latest. I gave it a week and never heard from him. Gave her a call back and she said that he told her he was going to call me that day.....2 more weeks later....still nothing!!! At the rate that they are handling business I dont see them being very successful and I will never recommend them to anyone. After all of this I would be VERY leary of giving them any of my money. I am always willing to support any local business but when I have to beg them to quote me on their services it makes me a little leary of their practices.

To Momof6Monkeys and anyone else looking for a nice place to have a wedding... if it is a small wedding, go to Raffa's. We went over there after getting dumped by Incredible Delights (they were awful about returning my emails and phone calls too). Tony Raffa is so nice and accommodating. It is a beautiful setting and half the price of what you would pay at one of these "wedding" establishments.

Jpgirl --- 12 years ago -

Also try the Tasring Room. We are hosting a small party and it is reasonable .

anjjjk --- 12 years ago -

Oh thank you momof6! As an ex employee of Icredible Delights/Atascocita Country Club I can tell you they are aweful they don't want business not will they pay their employees with the money they have!

But I do have to say thank you fire this thread I am being married in April and our venue feel threw months ago. I will be calling a bunch of these places

momof6monkeys --- 12 years ago -

Thanks guys!! Checking into Raffa's and the Tasting Room since ours is going to be small. We only have 4 weeks to put this together so it should be interesting to say the least......

Jpgirl --- 12 years ago -

Well I know the Upstairs of the Tasting Room is booked Fri night Oct 26 - for us- entertaining out of towners before our dd's reception Sat!

momof6monkeys --- 12 years ago -

We're getting married on Nov 4th so you wont have to share...lol....They are sending me over pricing and availability today as well as Rhonda & Tony at Raffa's so thanks for the suggestions!!
