I bought my son a "rolly polly playground", which is the cutest little bug catcher ever. But we have looked under every rock in the near area and dug through the flower beds trying to find the little buggers.

We can't find any. Anyone have a good idea of where to look? I seem to recall seeing them all of the time, until I started actually looking for one.

Maybe try looking under rocks or sticks at East End Park or the green belts.

I think they are kind of seasonal? We had lots in early summer but haven't seen any in quite some time.

I was afraid of that. I have a very disappointed little boy.

I haven't been able to find anything online about their season though.

But the sweet baby, he leaves it open on the porch every night for the rolly pollys, in case they want to come play!!!!

WIP I think I saw you on my walk in KW Glen. Yes? Was walking my little dog.

I haven't seen many lately either. But they always seen to be on my driveway or sidewalks.

The best place to locate them is the area where the grass and concrete meet. Get your fingers down in the crack and press the grass back from the conrete, they should be laying down in that crack. They live up to three years. They should be around all year.

Whats a rolly polly?

It's a little kinda long and skinny looking bug with many many legs. If you touch it, it rolls into a ball. I play with them, don't you?

ExLady In Blue --- 12 years ago -

Meme you can find them outside as someone said above. When I see them I pick them up and let them crawl around on my hand. I love the way they curl up and then uncurl after a little while.

We've got lots of them. I'm in New Caney. Send me a pm & I'll see if I can gather some up for ya.
