I have a single mom who has several children. She needs a crib and a toddler bed. Anyone have one of either or both they would like to donate to help out? 

I have a toddler bed with mattress and an extra crib mattress that are like new that she can have. I'm in league city now though.

i found one on kys for $40 for the toddler bed and it is in cleveland. i am trying to check it out. 

Sorry. I wish I could take it to you so you wouldn't have to pay, but my husband's car broke down last week so he is temporarily using mine until we get his fixed. If by next week she still needs these items let me know and if our car is fixed, I will gladly take them to you.

I hate to be a downer, but honestly, if she is on Medicaid she can get with her case manager and a baby crib would be provided.

Typically they will supply just about anything for a baby. 

Sometimes you need cribs in multiple places. Sometimes it is for the baby sitters house, the grandmas house, or even one upstairs and one downstairs. If she has several children she needs options on where to lay the baby because different parts if the house are busier at different times of day. 

Perfection, with 6 kids and no car, I doubt she goes many places. I will ask her and if she is on medicaid or whatever it is, I can take her. This person has come from a rough marriage and is doing the best she can for her children. I'll take care of what is needed and save your tax dollars. I have some really special angels helping me. 

I have posted links before where everything can be applied online and typically case workers for the community based organizations will even go to the homes to pick them up if needed.

The emphasis at the State is to get people on to medicaid/food stamps/assistance so they are pulling out all stops to eliminate barriers.

The health plans that supply the cribs do so out of their administrative budgets, not out of their State payments. They typically have outcome requirements to meet and providing a few easy necessities for babies is inexpensive or free for them to do. 

FabFive, there is a two year old and a baby, neither have a bed. I am picking up the toddler bed and looking for a baby bed. There are no grandparents :( If anyone on here knows me, I am very cautious on the people I pick and this person has more than verified her situation to me. She is a KUer. 

i have some gently used baby stuff, LB or GA let me know if sunday works, I have a huge party tonight and working tomorrow.

I believe you Lady. I was trying to state the reasons why a person might need more than one crib. I am so sad the baby and toddler don't have a bed. What blessings. I wish I had more baby stuff to give but I have given almost all of mine away, except the stuff I am still using. Does she need clothes? I might have some nice stuff, depending on age and gender.

FabFive, she is so happy that beds are coming. These children have been through a lot and whatever I can do to help them will be a blessing.
As soon as she gets transportation, she will get any of the agency aid she is qualified to get. She is shy and scared and that makes it hard to face these things alone. A good friend is helping me know the agencies to seek help.
For the grace of God, I have never been in a situation like this and if I can just help a little, it's my Christmas blessing.

I have high chair left, but it's pretty well worn. It is plastic, so it's clean. . .but not so pretty anymore.

Other than that. . . I'm running pretty low on baby gear. I've been on a serious purge as of late. 

I do have a complete bedding set for a crib or toddler bed that is unisex. But it sounds like you have that already. 

WIP, no I do still need the bedding set. I was just looking online for it.

We have a crib and dresser with hutch that we were looking to sell. I've been too lazy to get around to listing them anywhere. I am willing to donate them but they would need a crib mattress... I do have sheets she can have, though.

OMG! I am so happy! Please remember when you are adopting children that you can give them gently used clothes, too. Of course, my family will have toys and new clothes but to the ones donating gently used, they will be blessed. They need them now so I will get them to them as a blessing not Christmas gifts.

No the welfare does not help with beds and things like that. My oldes granddaughter just had a baby and they told her to go to places like HAAM.And with her being a new mother they will pay her $93.00 each month and food stamps also WIC.
