Got to have the gall bladder out and I need a doctor recommendation. I want to go to St. Luke's in the med center because they have all my records from previous surgeries. The surgeon I used last time can't get me in for 3 weeks so I thought I'd research other options. Also, do I need a gasroenterologist and a surgeon or just the surgeon. Ultrasound is already done. I've contacted my oncologist and DH's internist for recommendations but neither has returned my calls. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I don't think anyone great is going to be able to see you in less than three weeks :( Is there a reason you can not use a prior surgeon? It seems to me like they would get you in faster as an established patient. The surgery is easy if done laparoscopic. You don't need a gastroenterologist. Hugs. Feel better soon. Glad it's not cancer again. Praise God!
That's exactly what I fear from this surgery. Seems like it's a common problem. I was hoping to get the surgery done way sooner than 3 weeks. Not sure how long I can survive on bananas, rice & toast. And very little of that.
