I would LOVE to just scatter bluebonnets in our front yard .. That way, cutting our grass would become illegal :P

AtascocitaPhoto --- 11 years ago -

Have you seen any bluebonnets in KW yet?

freebyrdll --- 11 years ago -

I havent

Actually, it's not illegal to mow bluebonnets growing in your yard.

It's also not illegal to pick wild growing bluebonnets. Where it becomes illegal is if you are trespassing on the property where the bluebonnets are growing, or, if you damage/destroy the right-of-ways/government property where they are growing.

Texas DPS rules about Bluebonnets

Thanks. I think one year I am going to seed them! You just don't get that beautiful color with many flowers!

Indian Paint Brushes are beautiful too .. I saw a few on my run this morning near Kings Point

There is a great patch of bluebonnets every year in Kings Point that people go for picture taking. I haven't checked it out this year, I need to do a run by there.

Where at in Kings Point?

The airport area has good batches - there is a small utility building you can part at and walk to them.

Where at in Kings Point?

if you go down the intersection of High Valley Dr and Hidden Lakes Dr, they grow all along the walking trail and the sides of the ravine there.

Just a little past the Splendora exit on 59 North bound side is a huge sprawl of them.....Took my little one out there yesterday to take pics!!
