Hi, I have a dog that I adopted from a local rescue group. I've had her for about 4 months. I'm moving next month into a place that I can't take her, and this was an unexpected move. I really hate to give her back and i was hoping maybe someone on here might be looking for a companion. She's about 4 years old, house/crate trained, spayed, and super friendly with kids. She's pug/chihuahua mix and weighs around 10 pounds. I adopted her from the Gulf Coast Boston Terrier group out of Cleveland.

Don't rescue groups have a requirement that you return the dogs back to them if you don't intend to keep them? 

Yes, give her back to the rescue group! 

Yes, most groups ask that you return the dog so they can be sure it will go to a good, safe home. There is a dog flipper in our area who "adopts" animals and then sells them on craigslist. There is also reported dog fighting and the dogs to a good home are used as bait.

Contact the rescue group and keep the dog you love safe.
