Can anyone give me some advice on what apartments to search for in the kingwood/humble area. My family lives in Kingwood but I will probably have to look outside of it because the apartments are so expensive. I have a son and two part time jobs and can't pay $1,000 on rent a month. I need cheaper but not a dangerous place with a lot of crime. I thought about doing government assisted housing based on your income but the only complex I've been to that does that is not in a nice area.

I will go as far as the beltway.
thanks for the feedback!

I live in Oaks of Kingwood accross from Creekwood and the Police station. Have been there for 13 years and have had no problems. Rent is way under $1000.00

elm grove and elm creek are cheap, so is trailwood. Not the nicest in kingwood but they also take rent according to income.

I was looking at oaks of kingwood and the rent seems reasonable. around how much do y'all pay a month for bills (the necessities) for your apt?
