Check out the Buena Vista Palace. Good Rates and it is directly across the street from Downtown Disney. It is a very nice place.

We stayed at the seralago which is right outside of the park. It was less then 50 a night because we went through priceline. You also get a a discount if you have AAA. The rooms were very clean and they offer free shuttle to and from the park. We used this since parking is expensive. We wouldn't have been able to stay at the park 10 days if we had to pay more for the hotel. Doesn't make sense to me to pay more then that just to sleep for a few hours, lol We got to the park when it opened and stayed until it closed. We also had breakfast in our room which saved a lot of money. Food there is incredibly expensive. We are going back in March. Can't wait!

We just got back from Disney, I would recomend staying at one of the Disney resorts. They have shuttles to go back and forth to the parks so you don't have to drive and some parks open early or stay open later for people staying at the resorts. You pay a little more but the convienence and perks were worth it. We stayed at Disney All Stars, rooms were nice, pool was clean, food was pretty good, for hotel food.

Staying where you can take a shuttle might be cheaper in the long run. It would be nice to go back and have lunch or take a quick shower and a nap. Just being close enough to eat in the room would save a lot of money.

The seralago is right at the exit with free shuttle throughout the day. It was less the 50 a day and they have a huge beautiful pool.

We got our tickets from undercover tourist they were cheaper and have excellent service.

Also, check disboards.com out. They have an excellent Disney forum. There are others if you Google Disney World forum.

We stayed at Tropical Palms RV resort that had cute little cabins, in Kissemmee

When you stay "off the resort" do you still have access to the reserved fast passes & are you able to do the online Disney trip planner?
We are going in August and we are staying in one of the resorts and have been able to schedule several fast passes a day.
We are not frequent Disney visitors so I don't really know all the ins and outs of staying on versus off.

Also. If you stay off site, can you purchase the dining plan?

SuperFantastic --- 11 years ago -

Stayed at art of animation in June. You get 3 fastpasses a day
Schedule them early

You can sign up through mydisneyexperience for restaurant reservations and fast passes. Also the Disney app lets you look at wait times for rides and attractions
