MIL has moved in and would like to get out of the house and participate in some social activities. She is not very strong and uses a walker. She does not have dementia so I don't think that those types of programs would be good for her. Any ideas out there? (It would be nice for me too, so I could go to work for a couple of hours.) 

There is a place next to the library in Humble. Down the street from the Civic Center. It's a senior center. They have activities like walking to music, computer and lanquage classes, pot luck lunches, board games, etc.
You have to go there to talk with them and get their calendar. It's free. 

It's not really a day care but if she can take care of herself, no reason you couldn't drop off and pick up.

I've sent my mom to Sara Care next to Luby's. It's not cheap but they include a meal and give medications.
I think it's $45 for half day and $75 for a full day. 

Sara care is wonderful! They do so much with them and they make friends 

Isn't the one next to walgreens on Npark also a senior center? 

Check the May center in Huffman. They have many programs which are attended by several citizens with walkers. Here

Check out the Kingwood Community Center. They seem to have all kinds of activities for seniors. 

senior center is so much more dignified a name-
