Hello. Does anyone know of any businesses in the area that allow you to leave your business cards or brochures at their establishments? I think I have heard that Pirates Cove car wash has a bulletin board where you can put your information. Any information would be helpful! Thanks.

You might check grocery stores, church or other public bulletin boards. As a local business, we would love to allow this practice thus supporting other local business owners. The problem you run into is, if you do it for one, you MUST do it for all..... The area provided soon becomes a cluster of cards, brochures, pictures, tear off ads, etc. Typically when the space was overrun, advertisers would take down others cards to make room for theirs!! OY!! We tried supplying and limiting the large advertiser's bulletin board to the use of blank business card size cards.... No cooperation there :( so we finally discontinued the practice completely and converted it to an additional lost & found pet notice posting board. If you are running into resistance in some locations, they may have had a similar negative experience.

There is a church in Kingwood that does bulletin advertising, $15/mo

A lot of restaurants and laundromats will allow this as well.

What businesses do you allow to use you for free?

There are businesses all over that let people hang signs but it usually for community events and fundraisers. If it is a business card you want to leave, try a laundromat or something like that. I think I saw a board with business cards at the Kingwood Meat market.
