Hey guys long time no see. I just wnted to drop by and post a new story I wrote. I hope it blesses you ans sparks your iagaination. At the end is a link to a collection of four stories that tie together. Merry Christmas!

The Execution of Prophecy:

Azarael looked around. Everyone was breathless with anticipation. All of history was coming to a finely focused point. It was simply electric. Those mere words were the best we have that can describe the moment. The atmosphere was so still with anticipation that it was palpable. It was that heaviness of air, that fullness that one feels right before a storm unleashes all of its fury. But this would be no storm, no wrath, but a surprise of, and he chuckled at the irony, Heavenly proportions. Angels were streaking across the sky like lightning on last minute missions everything seemed to be happening at a breakneck pace but was all as smooth as the surface of a deep river.
For nine months preparations had been building to this day, well actually since the beginning of everything, even before the Angels this had been coming. Looking back nine months ago there was much surprise in Heaven as HE wove the final details of His plan that was set in motion over four thousand years earlier. What a moment to see what HE had even completely hidden for five hundred years of silence, a secret from Angels, Man and even The Fallen ones. Heaven was abuzz that day as an angel went down to whisper in the dreams of a man and his betrothed, both of whom, unbeknownst to each other, had descended from the house of the beloved man-king David. In His wisdom those two were connived to cross paths and to fall in love. They betrothed and then all Heaven broke loose! Secret missions were run from Heaven to earth. The big news was when the Mary-woman was told in a dream she would be carrying YHWH in man-form. HE, Himself, setting aside glory for a while to live among them. Then another Angel came to the Joseph-man and told him in dreams what was happening. It became apparent in all of Heaven why HE chose this Joseph-man for his will. Where many men would falter and fail, this Joseph-man stepped in and shouldered the burden and protected his fiancé from the rumors, hate and judgment. From the moment the Spirit left the Mary-woman there was an angel assigned to protect her. Rumor was that it was a Seraph, and not just any but their chief Jehoel! The Angel of Fire himself stood guard during that tenuous season. It made sense though, the Seraph do not sleep nor do they rest and have a zest for serving God that is unmatched, even among angels. What a formidable guard. It would not bode well for any of The Fallen to have attempted anything.
The reports came back from the spies that The Fallen knew HE was up to something but were still not aware of what it was. The scuttlebutt was that The Fallen were thinking that there was either going to be a new prophet or a new King to take up residence in Jerusalem. The Fallen spies were on high alert as there was just so much angelic activity of late. The comings and goings had been noticed. There had even been one attempted abduction of a messenger. That had brought about swift justice from two Archangels on patrol. Azareal mused what that must have looked like to that demon. First, he was cornering a messenger of God then not one, but two white hot streaks peal across the sky headed straight for him. Two Archangels revealing their burning Holy light bearing down on that Fallen. There would have been no fight to speak of, just a blinding flash and the smell of sulpher as black fog dissipated. The two towering soldiers would have looked around, sheathed their swords and quickly subdued their light. The message would have been sent. The light would have been noticed. The Fallen would be aware that something big was afoot at His bidding.
One of the things about being an Angel is that they can move in and out of man’s vision. Not necessarily existing on another plane but more like willing themselves to not be seen or to appear as human if the mission needs them to. Tonight, Azarael would be on such a mission. He would be an invisible whisperer, waking people from slumber by talking into their dreams. He was to go to a little town just a stones throw from Jerusalem and breathe the words Moshiach Ben Judah into their imaginations. (The Messiah from the Tribe of Judah) It was time. He willed himself invisible, as it were, and started the descent to Earth. On his way he began to realize the massive scope of what was happening. Angels were dropping down to earth as if preparing for an invasion. Rank upon rank of the Hosts of Heaven all in ordered Companies with their captains at the head, Armor shined, but everyone was under strict orders to keep their Holy light subdued. One entire Host, one thousand Angels was stationed in a field outside of the little hamlet, Bethlehem. He thought he saw something and looked harder. It was true! He saw Gabriel descending with that group!
There has not been this much angelic activity since the insurrection Azarael thought. Mankind did not know but Azarael remembered the insurrection when The Fallen tried to rise up and had to be ejected from Heaven. Then the incident in the Garden that started the fall of man. HE still loved them though, even from before the sin in the Garden His plan was already underway. Tonight though, even mankind will hear of His plan. He was walking into town and passed a Roman guard on a hilltop. Azarael distinctly hear HIM say “Also him, later” whoa! “Yes, YHWH it shall be done.” he whispered internally. Every step Azarael took he almost bumped into another angel. On his way down, he counted ten hosts. Ten thousand angels taking up positions around this little town. Most of the time YHWH arranged things and let Mankind choose what they would do. This night HE is exerting His will and has brought the strength of Heaven to make sure it happens. These people in this sleepy little hamlet will likely never know the level of Heavenly interest in securing this place for tonight’s happenings, but the Fallen are already alerted and it is too late for them to stop this event. Before dawn, many prophecies will be fulfilled!
It was well dark. The angelic soldiers were stationed all around even covering the surrounding hills. It was TIME! Azarael moved in close to the Joseph-man and whispered affirmations and confidence as the Mary-woman was in the throws of delivery. Then he zipped from home to home a wife whose husband was drifting from her, a drunk sleeping in the tavern, a little old faithful grandmother and many more. Then out of the blue he heard it, the trumpet, THE trumpet! Gabriel, himself, blew a triumphant victory blast! No one on earth could hear it but in the angelic realm it shook the world. The Fallen had been put on notice, YHWH had made a declaration! Azarael could hear the Captain of the Host speaking, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” As fast as he could, he flitted through the roof to look and outside of town he could see a brilliant white hot light! YES, he shouted to himself! The Host in the fields outside of town has let their Holy light blaze forth in celebration! A mighty shout was heard “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

Azarael was still completing his mission when he happened to be near the stable. He could see people walking up to the manger and falling on their faces and knees in worship. He saw rank upon rank of the angelic army come in and bow low before the Word, the voice of creation wrapped in frail flesh. He saw a man, that roman from the hilltop, flitting in and out of the shadows with his hand on his sword. Then he felt the nudge, “now” it said. “yes, YHWH” and he moved over to the Roman and whispered to him. The Roman stepped out of the shadows and wept. Azarael moved on throughout the countryside. And towards Jerusalem there was still much good news to spread.
