Lets talk about eternity

we worry rselves silly being concerned with the few years we will spend here on earth and not much thought is spent on the gazillions of years afterwards

your greatest interest in this life should be to secure an interest in the next

people tell me i am stupid because of how i live

spending every waking hour worrying about the things of this life whilst neglecting eternity is the stupidest thing anyone can do even if u should gain the whole world but in the end lose your soul

what then my friend has it profited???? 

What if there is nothing after you die and you've wasted your entire life focused on an afterlife that doesn't exist instead of living the one life you were luckily enough to get to the fullest?

So you see those two things as mutually exclusive? I think just the opposite: that by prioritizing spiritual things above material concerns, one experiences a richer, fuller life now.

How? Well, just off the top of my head, had I not studied the Bible, I wouldn't have been exposed to the wisdom of Solomon, or the peace that comes from understanding the fulfillment of the Torah. I wouldn't have the benefit of the longitudinal study of the life experiences of an amazing people group over several millenia. I have had moving worship experiences. I have experienced deep, wonderful fellowship with other believers, and it has been far more available to me and richer than that of any other social group. I have learned how immensely rewarding it feels to fulfill certain "Christian" obligations, such as forgiving others when I don't want to, treasuring reconciliation above pride, giving even in hard times, and loving people that others might find difficult to love. I have been able to do those things because of (1)an abiding confidence that they're the right things to do and (2) knowing that Jesus will give me supernatural strength to do them. Additionally, every single culture on earth, since time began, and every reasoning adult, has wondered about the existence of a Higher Power, (yes, even atheists have pondered the question!) I have filled that spiritual void that makes one ponder such an existence of God. This is just me rambling, but if I'm wrong, then it doesn't matter, because I can't see how my life could be better without God in it.

however i am in a win-win situation because i have no regrets and have lost nothing in this life... in fact i am living the ABUNDANT LIFE Jesus promised us

but should u b right and its all over when we die... then it is simply over

but i am still living my best life now

it sounds tricky but it works for me

i aint missing out on nothing here and now

nothing at all

in fact i am happier than the average bear

i have more peace than can be put into words

and i am filthy rich

and when i die

i go to heaven
