AMDG - I respect your postings as unbiased, and while I agree Trump took some hits, the fact that he's not under investigation definitely, if anything, is a temporary win for the President. And it gives him some push back for other things that may come up.

It essentially gives him some breathing room while the independent investigation continues.

I don't think the Russian interference in the the election was debunked at all yesterday. Quite the contrary - I think Comey, quite rightly highlighted that the importance of this issue, and that it was an american issue. 

Some folks are jumping through some serious hoops today trying to convince themselves of what they wanted to hear, but didn't.

Again - I do not believe that Trump activly coluded with the russians.

However the Comey testimony did not "vindicate" him at all - all he said was that the president was not being investigated, when he was there.

He specificly would not announce that to the world, as the president wanted, because it could possibly change.

calling that "vindication" is spin IMO

Just don't see the point of either side speculating on this issue anymore. It is being investigated, by all reports the man leading the investigation is un-biased and more than competent - there will be findings in good time.

Then the side who disagrees with the findings can call him a hack, and that the investigation was a farce, and they got it all wrong.

It was an interesting article about Comey. Not sure if I believe all of it, but I was puzzled watching Comey yesterday. Some of what he said makes no sense.

Comey said he did not know that it was a crime to not report a crime. (I.E., If Trump was obstructing justice, it would be a crime for Comey to not report it).

How would the head of the FBI not know that?

Lots of people are now promoting the idea that Comey was an outstanding (boy scout) type. I'm not so sure I believe that.

Other than IMO poor judgement, lying, and completely unfit for the job - I don't think I have ever speculated that he ever did anything illegal. 

Everyone is breathless over this Russian "meddling" and hacking. Every country is guilty of this and it's been going on for years. Why does the press act like this is unprecedented? If HRC would have won, it never would have been a blip on the radar at CNN, NBC, etc. Hell, Obama used treasury funds to attempt a Netanyahu upset. Not a peep out of the liberal press over that.
