No but I'd like to someday. It doesn't matter when they started, tax cuts now are affecting their choice. Correct?

fuzz81 --- 207 days ago -

No. It was already planned. The choice was already made.

The reason why it may very well end up in Canada is actually immigration policy.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 207 days ago -

WHAT choice? To build a second HQ?? I know. They didn't know where then or now tho. What do you mean??

fuzz81 --- 207 days ago -

You?re the one claiming that trumps tax change has something to do with it. You made the claim, so explain what you mean.

fuzz81 --- 207 days ago -

My point is amazon HQ2 was already happening regardless of anything trump did. Explain to all of us in clear terms how trump has had any impact on their decisions.

jackass --- 207 days ago -

It?ll most likely be around DC....

Emperor of Kingwood --- 207 days ago -

I'm betting Atlanta, Nashville or some where in the south.

fuzz81 --- 207 days ago -

They need talent and nobody wants to move to the south

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 207 days ago -

I was referring to corporate tax cuts in general bc Mark said it doesn't help "people", and corporations just hoard their money.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 207 days ago -

fuzz, have you ever been to either of those cities? VERY cool places- if you're thinking "deliverance" you're WAY off-

Emperor of Kingwood --- 207 days ago -

?It doesn't matter when they started, tax cuts now are affecting their choice. Correct??

You are correct. The lower of the US corporate tax rate will have a profound impact on the selection.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 207 days ago -

and corporations just hoard their money.?

Mark hasn't the first clue what he's talking about.

the Markster --- 207 days ago -

One year into Trumps admin and we get nothing.

Why do you want the government to take care of you?

One: I never said that
Two: Whats wrong with expecting the Gov to not shut down?

Emperor of Kingwood --- 207 days ago -

VERY cool places- if you're thinking "deliverance" you're WAY off-?

You're spot on. World class universities, more modern infrastructure, lower cost of living, more pleasing climate, located logistics backbones and less union activity.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 207 days ago -

I'd move to either one-

the Markster --- 207 days ago -

Our tax dollars = profits to corporations

It's not the government's money in the first place.

bob you are so full of it. (IF) its not the govs money in the first place, why do you keep sending them money every year? hmmm? zip it bob. we've had this discussion.

Tell me this....Are you a Trump supporter bc you knew there would be a shutdown? You've long stated you support Trumps policies. whatever that means.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 207 days ago -

I do support Trumps pro economic policies.

the Markster --- 207 days ago -

^^^^How could that be? He doesn't have one. He's a GOP puppet.

Correction:
Eliminating the death tax. Aside from that...Trump campaigned on "Mexico" paying for the wall and the reality is a gov shutdown bc tax payers have to pay for the wall. Trump supporters, how do you not feel suckered by this?

jackass --- 207 days ago -

They choose not to feel suckered....

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 207 days ago -

markie, aren't you aware that the inheritance tax is the one that especially aggravates the left? lol!

Saturn --- 207 days ago -

Mark,

Take a couple of minutes and watch these news clips of the Clinton's, the Obama's and
Chuck Schumer, a few years ago, and explain why their positions on illegal immigration has changed under the current administration.

The Clinton's, the Obama's and Chuck Schumer's take on illegal immigration not so long ago.

jackass --- 207 days ago -

Good point, those politicians should be held to their past words...like Trump when he said a government shutdown is the presidents fault. It is.

the Markster --- 207 days ago -

explain why their positions on illegal immigration has changed under the current administration.

The same could be said about Trump's view on Gov shutdown being on the shoulders of the president. Fast fwd to today and Trump will not take the blame.

the Markster --- 207 days ago -

Trump campaigned on "Mexico" paying for the wall and the reality is a gov shutdown bc tax payers have to pay for the wall. Trump supporters, how do you not feel suckered by this?

So far. Not one Trump supporter can answer this.

the Markster --- 207 days ago -

double clicked

Saturn --- 207 days ago -

The same could be said about Trump's view on Gov shutdown being on the shoulders of the president. Fast fwd to today and Trump will not take the blame.

But that doesn't answer my question to you.

Why have the Clinton's, the Obama's and Chuck Schumer changed their stance on illegal immigration under the current administration?

Saturn --- 207 days ago -

Good point, those politicians should be held to their past words...like Trump when he said a government shutdown is the presidents fault. It is.

I don't disagree with that, but that wasn't my question.

the Markster --- 207 days ago -

Why have the Clinton's, the Obama's and Chuck Schumer changed their stance on illegal immigration

3 years ago, republicans tried to get democrats to repeal their signature ACA bill. Resulting in a shutdown

Today republicans are tying immigration to the shutdown.

The budget 3 years ago had nothing to do with immigration.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 207 days ago -

reality is a gov shutdown bc tax payers have to pay for the wall.

You're obviously not paying attention or don't understand; probably both. The first chapter in the wall hasn't even started, so therefore, the last chapter hasn't been written either.

This shutdown is about DACA and not paying the military in the field because Schumer cares more for illegals than American mitary personnel.

the Markster --- 207 days ago -

You're obviously not paying attention or don't understand;

I know you LOVE to be so condescending in your remarks. However republicans are playing you,,,,bob. This conv is getting old. Its not about Schummer. The republicans control both houses and the presidency. Why cant they draft a budget that benefits the people that elected them. Its a two way street. You've been suckered. bob. Own it, then zip it.

the Markster --- 207 days ago -

American mitary personnel.

gee, your spelling is so atrocious its impossible to understand your point. You obviously were home schooled by Helen Keller

Saturn --- 207 days ago -

Today republicans are tying immigration to the shutdown.

That would actually be the Democrats doing that, Mark.

However, again; why have the Clinton's, the Obama's and Schumer flip flopped their stance on illegal immigration?

jackass --- 207 days ago -

why have the Clinton's, the Obama's and Schumer flip flopped their stance on illegal immigration?

Because that?s what politicians do...on both sides, constantly. Your attempt at a gotcha question ignores the fact that all of them flip flop on lots of things.

Saturn --- 207 days ago -

It wasn't intended to be a "gotcha question, but fair enough ...

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 207 days ago -

That?s the problem Jackass, you?re right. But some people are lock steppers and not thinkers. They complain about something the other party does as horrendous and completely ignore that their party does it too. Smh

fuzz81 --- 207 days ago -

You walk every single party line ssfg. Start by thinking for yourself before pointing at others.

the Markster --- 207 days ago -

Today republicans are tying immigration to the shutdown.

That would actually be the Democrats doing that, Mark.

No and yes. both sides do it. (politics)
However:

The ACA was the sticking point over the last shut down. This time its immigration. No one has flip-flopped.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 207 days ago -

Lol@ Fuzzy, how about that lunch??

OrdinaryGuy --- 207 days ago -

My point is amazon HQ2 was already happening regardless of anything trump did. Explain to all of us in clear terms how trump has had any impact on their decisions.

They wouldn't have brought the money into the country when there was a 35% tax on it. That's easy to see unless you are wearing blinders!
