And you can overlook the reality that I'm NOT rich and what you think is rich might be alittle broad in its definition.
I'm working hard and taking care of myself and i did it without help or assistance from anyone, later in life. Other's do it too. So being "poor" shouldn't be a permanent status, it should be a transitional phase.
Did you not read anything I wrote? There's no hypocrisy from me- I have to wonder if these personal attacks from you are a personal problem. They're totally bizarre, and out of place on what was a civil thread.
Tat, the hypocrisy is having a disabled husband that in no way paid into the system the exact amount needed for his care. He was on the public dole and if he wasn't, who would have covered all of his medical expenses? You don't care about those less fortunate but, by God, your circumstances deserved that money because he paid into it a drop of what he actually took.
When you post on a message board acting like Marie Antoinette and her "let them eat cake!" attitude, while you directly benefited from tax payers money, you are damn straight that makes you a hypocrite and I will call you out on it.
Not only did he work and make a lot of money before his accident, but I was married to him for 10 years, and he was on disability for only 1 year before I met him. He paid in way more than he received. I worked my entire life, and paid in my own FICA. I never went in to debt, or spent more than I could afford- I lived the way I believe people should live- take care of yourself and your family.
jackass --- 3 min ago - quote - hide comments Anyone who takes any government subsidy is on the dole. If public school benefitted you in any way you?ve benifitted from socialism...someone else?s money.
I'm pretty sure I pay school taxes every year-A lot longer than I had a child in school.
I have zero problem with tax dollars being spent to better our citizens and help kids. I pay hefty property taxes, we are taxed on our earnings, which increase every year. I've never complained and never will.
This is how living in America works. It's not just about you.
Mark they want you to focus on the 1% decrease you might see in your tax bracket,
If it werent for the death tax that Trump is giving his kids, Id probably not care. But its there and I do. The 15% corporate tax break with no stipulations that will become permanent is just what the GOP is about. Ive only been pointing out since Bush 43.
Our rwnj audience takes exception to that and grow tired of my remarks and mock and or ice me in a lame, petty attempt to shut me up.
Anyone see Meet the press this morning. House of Trump is coming down. So Id like to take a moment to flip a bird to all those "we won get over it" crowd.
For general knowledge, after having read this thread, there are some gross misconceptions here.
Disability is a reduced amount of what you would have gotten for Social Security. It is not welfare. Any money you receive for disability is taken out of your Social Security, it does NOT come from the public dole. Your Social Security remains reduced for the remainder of your life.
Apparently some people like to come across as knowledgeable on this important topic.
Esquala, even the situation on this thread, goes beyond earnings. Medical bills are outrageous and add up quickly. I have no problem with tax dollars or social security dollars helping people, whether they paid in or not. The point I was making is you can't have it both ways. You can't have your hand out to get help for your own family, while turning your nose up to helping others in the same way. That is wrong on every level.
DP, why do you make assumptions and put them on line as fact? You've been spewing blantant lies throughout this thread- I haven't made one personal attack on you, yet, despite leaving yourself wide open for one. Get over it, I can't make your life better, only you can do that-
