just took kids to slide down the hills on cardboard they loved it thought it was so fun and said i was a cool mom

off woodland hills by the tunnels on greenbelt nice hills for them just have to watch them so they don't get too close to road they did great it is cheap and great entertainment my parents took us to do stuff like that we were poor but i never knew they always found great ways to do stuff w us that is what i want for my kids yes GOOD TIMES 

That sounds like fun! We may try that soon! 

We use to do this as kids too. We'd find a nice dirt/grass hill and a good box to get into, worked like a sled. It was a ton of fun. 

We use to do that when I was a kid...great fun!!! Lousy for the grass but who cares...:) 

I can remember taking the lunch trays from the dorm dining halls and using those as sleds when a good snow fall came. Good times....good times.... 

When I was little we used to "surf" down the dune at Sand Dune Park in Manhattan Beach. It was awesome! 

We did this as children using washing machine boxes on Addick's Dam. Those are probably the best "hills" in Houston.
