Awwww!! It's soooo true! My dh has a couple of herniated discs and bad knees from jumping out of helicopters in his Army days- not quite as disabled as this vet but still.....he just signed up for the lottery for the Houston Marathon- I hope he makes it. He runs and bicycles despite the pain. "they" told him that surgery was the only option- well not for him not right now
