Hey, does anyone know of any rentals available in the Porter/New Caney area? Looking to stay under $1000 a month. Preferably not a mobile home.

Lots of apartments in and around Porter. Depending on how many bedrooms you need, you can probably find some under $1k month. 

I'd like to stay out of an apartment. I was hoping someone knew someone or has seen a small house for rent. I've looked online, but can't find much. I know a lot of people just put a sign in the yard. 

You need a good local realtor.

No. They are paid by the landlord.

The best rental homes i found in that area was driving around.. matter of fact that is how i found the home i am in now in the woodlands..

the best way to find one is to drive around and look in the area you want to rent. lots of "for rent" signs in front of houses but they don't list them on any websites. you just drive by, get the number and call them up. easy 

Yeah, that's probably what I will end up doing. Was just hopping that someone had a neighbor or family member with something available.
