FabFive --- 12 years ago -

No idea. Ugh.

Froggie --- 12 years ago -

I bumped a thread for you. Pearsons did a really good job for me last year.

OOPS Steam Cleaning.....

Real company.....

tinman --- 12 years ago -

I had actually had Kingwood Carpet out to clean the carpets and steam clean the grout on our tile.

They came out and gave me a detailed, written estimate and while they weren't the cheapest, they certainly did everything they committed to and were done in about three hours.

All of this needed to be done in advance of a hen party....errr....I'm sorry, a Bunco Party so my house was going to be filled with nosy, opinionated women looking to find fault with every detail in the house.

Mrs. Tinman was very satisfied, therefore, so was I.

I always use kingwood carpet cleaning. If the van aint yellow you got the wrong fella. Lol old commercial but still remember it.

FabFive --- 12 years ago -

LOL Plum Crafty.

Tinman, it's obvious why you've been married a long time! Keep the wife happy. I will check into them too.

After I make my calls I'll report back so hopefullythis thread can be referenced for the future.

I grew up listening to Moby in the Mornings on 97 Rock back in the late 70's. I decided to find out what happened to Moby.

I found out that he had a radio show with a country station in Atlanta and was doing very well. He had bulletin board style page attached to the station's web site where fans could leave personal messages.

I just posted on that board that if the van aint yellow, you got the wrong fellow....and also...Hey wake up and get your lazy asses outta bed!!!!

I'll be darn if he didn't email me back and ask if the commercial was still running. I told him yes. He emailed me back and said that they made a deal with him to clean the carpets in his three houses for a year in exchange for his endorsement. He thought the commercial was supposed to run for a few months, but there was no language in the contract stating that. So, he feels taken advantage of and it actually kind of bitter about it.

I didn't have the heart to tell him that 99% of all of the folks in Kingwood have no idea who he is....lol.

Called Pearsons, Kingwood, and Oops. Pearson's gave me this overflow of information in about 5 seconds. I have never paid by the sq ft before and I didn't catch how much he said but it seemed high. I do remember the stairs were $3/each.

Kingwood was busy the first three times I called. They also charge by the sq ft. $3/stair. They will give free estimates too.

Oops is $130 for the first 4 rooms then $40 a room thereafter. Halls are $1/linear foot.

Might try Stanley Steamer tomorrow and get their rates, too.

Clean as a Whistle is very good too. I've used them for over fifteen years. We let OOPS clean our last year and they did a good job. Both companies are about the same price.

FabFive --- 12 years ago -

Thanks, PowerUp.

Pearson Carpet Care --- 12 years ago -

Fabfive we come out and give free estimates. We are an IICRC certified firm with all certified technicians. We have over 20 years experience and are a local company with an office in downtown Humble. Sorry we gave you too much information to quickly.
