My family just rescued a wonderful dog. I need to find an inexpensive vet to get him fixed.

Pine Forest Animal Clinic.

I believe but don't quote me on this that females are $60 and males $40. It's cheap, whatever it is. It's a little far from Kingwood (not too too far though) but its worth it if you want to save some money.

:)

Thank you very much!

Here are several in our general and outside area...Low Cost spay/neuter

Froggie --- 12 years ago -

That's a great deal. ..my vet quoted a range of $395-$500 for Hudson.

Wow!! I do know of all the vets around who are NOT in the low cost spay/neuter business, The Huffman Animal Hospital charges about 200.00 for everything for a female pet, males are less. Full service animal hospital but the most reasonable around.

Pine Forest offers the same price as what the Montgomery County shelter used to charge. I thought it was 75, but don't hold me to it. Even if it is 75 and not the 40-60, it is still the best price by far.

Something in my head says you get what you pay for. In my case a 2 lb patient is maybe a higher risk?

Possibly true, but Pine Forest only started offering them for that price b/c MCAS stopped doing it for animals that weren't from their shelter.

I would jump on anything less than $100, especially since its a vet, that you can make a regular appointment with. Spay Houston, etc. is less money than vets, but sometimes hard to get a regular appointment at a normal time of the day.

Dr Ross in Humble. Very reasonable and very good.

doglady --- 12 years ago -

Unfortunately Dr. Ross isn't taking new patients... Or he wasn't a few months ago??? Guess it wouldn't hurt to call him.

Crosby Veterinary Clinic

Good quality for the price

Be patient wait times are a hour plus.

BiteMe --- 12 years ago -

MCAS spayed/neutered for $60/40 and Pine Forest matches that price.

You don't get the pre surgery blood work with low cost vets, that's for sure. To me, that's the best way to eliminate risk, everything else is out of your hands.
