I had the perfect opportunity to make a little video of me grooming one of my friend's huskies. Drama Queen is an understatement! :)

and this is what hell is like...my poor doberman locked in a cage with huskies! ;)

Wow, sailor, you're mean. LMAO!!!

I LOVE the breed, amazing beauty and intelligence. However, we who like them know they are very vocal and don't mind you knowing it, lol. They are also darn good escape artists.
But wow, look at that beauty!! I'm going to have one some day! AND, they can't get Coronavirus from cats!!

I love their vocalizations and howling :)!

Note to those who are novices to the use of a groom table with a grooming noose... While this grooming configuration is completely acceptable and is the basic setup in all professional grooming salons............ ALWAYS pay complete attention to and DO NOT turn your back on your pet when grooming it using this setup. They can accidently step off the side and injure themself. ST demonstrates that precaution perfectly in the video. GREAT JOB!

I had a Husky once (15 years ago) that never made a sound. Never barked, nada, nothing.......Vet said he was OK.....probably just an introvert.....lol

That puppy melts my heart! How do you get cuter than THAT???

ThisLady --- 12 years ago -

Oh my goodness, I've always wanted a Siberian Husky! Those puppies are too too adorable!!! Warms the cockles of my heart ;-p.

WOW great vid, can you take on my malamute next????

JAMS --- 12 years ago -

lol, that's cute.

At the show grounds, I overheard a dog wailing 10x more dramatic than that. I peeked around the corner, and the dog was simply being groomed. You would have thought he was being tortured.

we used to have a husky as well....are you sure you werent hurting it? maybe the water pressure was too high? ours never made that noise

Grooming a malamute?? Oh my Jesus, now that is a job!! :)

This husky is a show dog and is used to being groomed, I'm not her handler though and this was my first time with her so she's dramatic with me :)

Believe it... That Husky was not being hurt, just vocal! LOL!

pumpkinsmom2 --- 12 years ago -

LOL! My Huffy was such a drama king during grooming the groomer called me and asked me to come sit with him while she groomed him! I would sit and watch and he would still scream bloody murder, lol. This is very common for the breed. You should see us at Husky Haven bathing 10 of them in one day. All kinds of screaming. We actually have one volunteer who just loves on them while the others bathe to keep them calmer, lol. I am sure we are just reinforcing their bad behavior but we can't help it. All the different vocalizations keep the volunteers in giggles!

Your white one on the right side looks just like our Nikko and I could see him doing the same thing being groomed. He wasn't vocal until this year and I can tell you, he tells on his sisters all the time. And when he is hungry, he is LOUD! He doesn't eat much and is so darn spoiled I grind up turkey to go in the dog food. He is never very far from me. His paw is touching the edge of my notebook as I type. My golden will forever hold my heart but this one is pushing his way there.
And hair...clumps of it! I spent a while yesterday trying to get those out. He doesn't like to be brushed but is always clean????
