Is it me or are there more and mor people leaving boats and trailers in their driveways and on the sides of their houses?

Storage rates are on the rise and expensive. If you got it...show it off!

sunshine1881 --- 7 years ago -

You jelly? Lol

kwmomx2 --- 7 years ago -

It could be the Labor Day weekend and having 3 days off from work and school. Probably just people taking their boats out before summer ends. Hopefully the boats and trailers will go back into storage soon.

Inked Fatboy --- 7 years ago -

Lmao @ jelly

Its HOA's that aren't doing there job. If its a holiday weekend and they are leaving them for a few days I don't think anyone should mess with them. Thats a little ridiculous. If they have been there for months its time for a new HOA board.

Its as declasse as driveway partiers.

Sideboom --- 7 years ago -

Here we go. Ask a simple question and then we start with the stupid stuff that has nothing to do with the post. We discussed the driveway parties already.

I don't see a boat in good condition as an eye sore. I see it as an opportunity to make new friends!!

Sideboom --- 7 years ago -

Uglytruth, your correct but I been seeng them for a couple weeks now. Board meeting this week. I guess I can ask them then.

TinktheSprite --- 7 years ago -

I like to party in my boat on my lawn with my neighbors. Perfect place to lay out in the sun in my bikini and have a Margarita!

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 7 years ago -

we could play make believe, and make noises like the boat engine!!!!

I know my hoa doesn't even let a board from your fence hang a bit, they send you a notice!

It's not just you, it's getting worse. Eye sore or not it's against Deed Restrictions. And yes, our HOA needs to do a better job at enforcing DRs. They've become more and more relaxed over the past 10 years.

When I was a kid in nursery school, that was back before they called it "Preschool". We just played back then. There was an old boat buried in the play yard. That was my favorite thing to play on. :D

Yeah, that's relevant.

That's the beginning of the end for Elm Grove then. The HOA is there to help protect your most expensive purchase -- your home.

Do they police the neighborhoods in elm Grove? Or do you have to be reported?

There is one guy who purportedly drives around and looks for violations. He is paid by the HOA and is an employee of Custom Management. However, if you ask them if a certain house has received notice of violation they will refuse to tell you due to privacy concerns. I appreciate the HOA in EG because it's a volunteer organization (other than Custom Mgmt) but the whole thing is suspect since the results of DR enforcement are less than stellar.

yes they do, looking for grass in the cracks of the road in front of your house, taking pictures and sending you letters about it. You know really good stuff that needs to be taken care of. Lets not worry bout the kids that paint on the streets, or the cars lining up down Flint Creek on the curve and if you meet a car head on you have to back up down the street. There will be a serious accident there one day that might stop them. One car in driveway and 3 on the streets..

Boats and hoes!

Sideboom --- 7 years ago -

Angie, I sometimes wish I had an old beat up car and I would just drive right along and sideswipe everyone of them. Lol. But seriously what is with parking the second most expensive thing you own on the street? We got 4 cars (two teenage drivers, my wife's, and my company car) yes it's a pain some evenings getting cars parked, but they go in the driveway every night.
