Does anyone know the woman that was on KU for a long time (may still be here)...her 'name' is Denise, don't remember her last name?

She is an expert on Thyroid meds alternatives and wanted to contact her about them.

Any help is appreciated...TIA.

I'm not Denise but I use Armour thyroid for years. It's natural. Doctor has to write prescription though.

Really?....why does it require a prescription if it's natural?....

ELIB is also very knowledgeable about those matters.

I think you are talking about unichic. You can search some of her old threads and I sometimes see her on KYS but she deleted her account here a couple of years ago.

Plenty of info on Internet; just do a yahoo or google search.

Armour is desiccated thyroid from pigs. It is natural. It is also a regulated by the FDA drug that has gone through the hoops required to be approved for use. I think what you mean is over the counter supplements. Armour requires a prescription from a doctor after you have been diagnosed. OTC supplements require nor doctor diagnosis or doctor prescription.

Beware of Dr taylor, local doc who prescribes natural hormones. I've been seeing her for the past 3 months and, while I've been happy with the drugs, just tonight I opened a bill saying my insurance did not cover 3k with of blood work which her office said should be covered. Ugh.
