What's your favorite hotel to stay at?

texasracefan71 --- 11 years ago -

Depends on what I'm there for. The Wynn is really nice for a couple. NYNY is great for hanging out with friends.

ShadowHunter --- 11 years ago -

Probably by myself.

Puss In Boots --- 11 years ago -

I heard the Cosmopolitan was da bomb.

The Cosmopolitan is nice. Planet Hollywood is fun too.

Mandelay Bay- Awesome rooms and casino. Bad location (end of strip)

Luxor- Old rooms are dank. New Tower is fairly nice.

MGM- Never stayed in the original rooms but the towers behind (signature?) very nice. They are also time shares so set up like very modern apts. LOOOONG walk to the casino

Hooters- If you like the seedy hotel room feel and 300 lb women eating chicken wings at the pool, this place is for you

Excalibur- don't even think about it. Yuck all away around.

NYNY. Great casino and good location. Rooms are very outdated and musty. Even the suites. Built in roller coaster bothers some so get a room away from it.

Planet Hollywood.- Great location, ave. rooms You also have to walk through a huge mall to get to it (unless you valet).

Bellagio- overpriced and a boring casino (unless you love high end shopping. Great location.

Paris- Fun casino. Don't know about rooms.

Cosmopolitan- Beautiful New casino. Very pricy. Rooms better be nice at those prices. Great location.

Caesar's Palace. My favorite. It's a city within itself. Great rooms. A ton to do and great location.

Wynn- Very nice rooms and casino. A little far down the strip for me.

Treasure Island- Never stayed there. Gilly's is in front of it though. Great bar with VERY reasonable drink prices for the strip.

Venetian- Great reviews. Never been. I do remember it had the highest employee to customer theft complaints at one time so lock up your jewelry.

Flamingo- Never stayed but my sister was grossed out by it and moved to another place.

My shocker was the RIO. I needed a couple of days extra and my hotel was sold out. Was really nervous about the Rio because its prices were WAAAAY lower than even Hooters. It's behind the strip but you can walk to or Shuttle. The rooms were all suites and very modern. The casino and pool scene was fantastic. Cheaper tables than on the strip. Great seafood buffet. Best deal IMO on the strip.

Palms- Great pool scene if you are younger. Don't know about the rooms. Overall younger crowd there. Music thumping at the pool at all hours so don't expect sleep.

Golden Nugget- Freemont Street. Well, that's old school there. Casino seems nice enough but the cheese factor really goes up in that part of town.

Overall, try to get a hotel near Caesar's Palace. That puts you right in the middle of the strip.

AND STAY AWAY from that stupid new ferris wheel. Boring, Boring, Boring. It goes about 0.0001 mph.

Depends on how long you're in your room. Since we are Total Rewards members we usually get comped rooms at their hotels. Caesars is probably my fav but they were booked for the time we wanted to go. Since we pay for our meals, entertainment & gambling it's nice to not pay for rooms.

Dr Aborto --- 11 years ago -

I haven't been to the Cosmopolitan but we always have a blast at the Hard Rock. Not many old people, good music, Pink Taco and nice pools. Don't pay for their Rehab Pool either. Use the regular pools for the guests. They are just as nice but with a lot less Jersey Shore wannabe types.
