Got a baby coming next year and would like to get a my air ducts cleaned and any spots damaged to be repaired. We have real old ducts from the original house. It was built 1978.
But anyways yah

Good airduct cleaning service? Reliable? Affordable? Reputable? 

Don't do it! Duct work that old will probably just crumble during the process. It's time to replace it. You will be surprised at the difference it makes with new ducts.

I just went through this very thing 2 yrs ago. 

We used USA AIR. they are very affordable they did a great job and they were friendly. They did try and sell in an expensive filter after they finished but we declined and the whole experience was well worth it! We were renting a house in Greentree that had mildew around the inside of the vents, it was so gross! The company took pictures and showed us how filthy it was so we got to see before and after highly recommend doing this everytime you move in somewhere

If you need your ducts cleaned you have bigger problems,I know alot of ac contractors (residential and commercial )that will tell you that,and they do more harm than good.i work in the building management field and know a lot of professionals in that area, most say it's a scam. 

Its a rip off trust us. 

Air duct cleaning is an absolute dog and pony show that yields ZERO effective results and oftentimes results in the destruction of the ducts(usually flex-duct).

I honestly don't know how they can justify doing what they do. They don't effectively remove or sterilize any part of your HVAC system.

Stay so far away from ANY kind of "duct-cleaning company." 

Well they did remove all of the dust, mold and grime. The house smells of a whole lot better I don't know if everyone of them are scam artist.

Thats just the air sponge they put in the return,the didnt to do anything.
