Backyard --- 10 years ago -

We've have an event on Aug 2nd. Aug 2nd is National Mead Day. To make Mead we need several lbs of honey. I'm looking for local honey for our event.
Can anyone refer me to someone that has honey in bulk, or contact me at adam@backyardhomebrewers.com
Thanks

kimmer --- 10 years ago -

Ask at some of the feed stores, they may know who has some.

Fresh Meat --- 10 years ago -

You might also ask at Natural Kitchen. I've seen local honey there.

There are a couple of local honey guys that sell at the Urban Harvest Farmers Market on Richmond.

Well excuse me. Just trying to help a brother out. I thought you wanted a honey from Kingwood. After Ashley Madison posted their stats last year, Kingwood became a hotbed for honey seeking fellers like yourself.

He clearly said in his post that he was looking for honey to make mead.

You should probably allow for the possibility that someone will get offended if you suggest they look for something on a website that specifically caters to folks who are adulterers.

Although, I suppose the effect might have been different if your post was remotely funny.

I'm sorry, Eyes. I should re-evaluate what I post and become more uptight like you. I should also consider what would be funny to post for your amusement only. In the past I only cared what amused me and that is VERY selfish. Now I will care more about YOU. I'm assuming, along with adulterer jokes, fat jokes are off the table as well in the future?

MonzaRacer --- 10 years ago -

Just saw a guy with a table set up at Food Fair in New Caney, selling local honey

Puss In Boots --- 10 years ago -

Sharticus, well, I for one thought that was hilarious!!

As for the real honey, the dude that sets up on 1960, next to the dude who sells cow hides, usually advertises that he has local honey. Not far from Kings Park and 1960.

Did what I write offend you?

Gee, what are the odds?

I am guessing that if one posts on a public forum, one should probably allow for the fact that humor is subjective...especially if it is poorly written, and criticism of it is allowed.

Hey...I was just pointing out that directing someone to a website that caters to adulterers might be offensive to the OP. Turns out I was right. As for humor, feel free to keep on trying to entertain.

Thanky, Puss. It was just a play on what I thought the title could have POSSIBLY meant and the fact that Kingwood made the top ten AM list two years in a row. All in good fun but a few of the ladies on here seem to be tad bit sensitive about that site. I guess they are very familiar with it for whatever reason.

God no, Eyes. Not even close. Your insults are the same weak re-treads that all of the sad folk on here use. After you polish off that turkey leg maybe you can polish up on some new insults.

And since you are posting here it would seem you are talking about your same sad self.

Hello Perfection. And how are you today? No I'm not sad. The "sad" folk I refer to are the ones that always seem to be in a bitter mood. You know the ones I'm talking about, Perfection? They decide they want to say something ugly to someone before even saying, "Hi!"

mispissy --- 10 years ago -

They are selling it on 1960 today just west of W Lake Houston Parkway (by the snowcone place).
