True Intentions --- 10 years ago -

I need to find something that I can put at the base of a maple tree. I have absolutely no knowledge of ant killers and am hoping that there is something that is somewhat safe for trees and dogs. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Is it your True Intention to be an ant killer???

If you can see the mound, get Amdro.

If you want organic, there is a granular spinosad that will work. There is also citric acid in a bucket of water. google it.

True Intentions --- 10 years ago -

Dorothy, absolutely. Satsuma, thank you, I will look into it. I would opt for the first choice but I'd be afraid my dogs would be scarred for life after seeing something like that move in their back yard. ;)

That is one ugly creature! Yikes!

AngieKaye --- 10 years ago -

Don't use amdro. We did and only thing that happened was the mound moved. Over n out is the best on way to get some now. I should of known not to buy cheap stuff!

Should have...not should of. Or, go with should've....which still means should have, not of.

You're welcome.

In the same strip shopping center as the Humble Italiano's is a do it yourself pest place. Take a few of the offending ants in a baggie so they know what you are trying to kill. Your initial investment will be high but the product works very well and doesn't allow them to just move the mound from point to point. Our bottle of magic potion was used at three houses over four years before it ran out.

So, you're proud of your bad grammar and misspellings? That's a source of "southern pride" for you? I know many native Texans who would vehemently disagree with that assessment! They hate being stereotyped as ignorant, uneducated country bumpkins. There shouldn't be anything prideful in being viewed that way.

True Intentions --- 10 years ago -

I appreciate the help. I went with one last night and by this morning, the ants were no more. The objective has been met, and I am more than pleased. Thanks again! :)

I'm glad your True Intentions were realized! ;)

Is that another way to say Ebonics for white people? You should get with MrMark. His song lyrics and singing style are a match for your white Ebonics. I believe that if it wasn't for your difference in politics, you two would make a perfect couple.

What does that have to do with killing ants? I don't know. But I wasn't going to start a new topic to say that.
