Our upstairs a/c unit was screaming like a noise of metal on metal....it was the motor. We just got the motor and compasitor (sp?) replaced for $60

what home warranty company do you have? 

Home warranties are an insurance policy. That said, the issuing company ALWAYS BENEFITS not the homeowner. If the company didn't profit they wouldn't issue these so called warranties.

Think of them and all insurance companies like the house in Vegas.

the last three claims we have filed have been denied by Old Republic. Claim number 1 was our bathroom jacuzzi. The motor stopped, does not work. Their excuse? They can't get to the motor. They refuse to even come out and look. Claim 2. Our pool chlorinator broke. Their excuse? The people who bought the original policy (the sellers) didn't bother to mention it was a salt water pool so no coverage there. Claim 3. The heater ignitor broke. Their excuse? We had removed the ignitor so the warranty was voided. Yep, we love our warranty company.

We have Total Protect...so far, so good. I'm not complaining, sorry you had problems Wicked. 

Coming out for a repair we have never had an issue with..but have been told by others when it needs to be replaced it ain' gonna happen...will find out when time happens
