I got really great fire wood on 494. Just next to bills cafe. Really nice guy, not like those scary ones!! He lives here in Kingwood. I am buying there from now on.

You can also get firewood at the place behind the antique store on 494. They are there all the time when it is cooler weather.

I don't know about porter, but hambone's firewood , I can count on to be dry and ready to burn.

I really like Hambone's firewood also. He delivers to our house because I don't want to dirty the car. The guy is nice and I now prefer the pecan wood.

Mmmmm ... love to grill with pecan wood.

What kind of wood should I burn in a chiminea? I've been told not to burn the really hot stuff, but I have no idea what burns really hot.

I've used the wood in a bag that they sell at Walmart. We've also used wood from a tree we cut down not to long ago as well.

Never use pine, and oak is the best.
