Was disappointed in my adolescent's stay at Kingwood Pines. Nurses were terrific, but the psychiatrist only spoke to the parent briefly to inform of discharge. Parents were asked to pick up for discharge with no notice a half hour after getting home from visiting. Discharge then postponed to Friday morning, then on Friday morning changed to Monday. Then parents asked to pick up child Friday night. Unbelievable. Family counseling cancelled twenty minutes beforehand and rescheduled when parent only available by phone. Counselor was rude, defensive, seemed very put upon to do her job. Has anyone else dealt with them? 

Years ago for one of my kids, and it was basically a waste of time and money.

Probably a good place to put a kid in a time of crisis where they need 24 hr supervision, but for routine therapy or less sever issues etc there's better places I think.
