I'm currently using century link for Internet but I'm not thrilled with the cost. I'm paying for stuff I don't want or use like a landline. Are there any other companies in Kingwood that provide Internet service. I know sudden link does but we had their cable for a short time when we moved here and it was awful! I'm hesitant to use them for Internet.

Same question. I have Suddenlink and am not happy with the service or price.

You're SOL. Suddenlink is better than centurylink as far as internet speeds go.

TBH I've been pretty happy with Suddenlink internet so far. (Came from Comcast xfinity) but I bought my own Motorola modem (not sure what suddenlink provides).

Keep complaining to Suddenlink. They will get you working good but it takes fortitude and persistence and attitude

Motorola modems...lol

There are thousands of different Moto modems. Mines actually an Arris (spun out of Motorola). It's been rock solid so far. 150Mbit down

CenturyLink, but looking at switching to Suddenlink. The telephone line in the older homes in Kingwood only allow so much data, so capped at 20.

You can work with CenturyLink on your bill. Get rid of certain fees and only have internet.

I wouldn't touch CenturyLink, it just isn't worth paying for DSL, it's too slow, it doesn't even qualify as broadband anymore. We have SuddenLink now and the quality and speed has not been up to what we had with Comcast despite them being evil. There are no GOOD choices in Kingwood but CenturyLink is certainly the worst.

And SL's modems are terrible. We have a much smaller one storey here than when we had Comcast and the signal just isn't what it should be.

What qualifies as broadband? My Centurylink is 25MB/2Mb.
