59 south in Humble is at a dead stop 

Hazmat spill southbound at Greens Rd.

 

Actually semi truck drove into HOV lane and several accidents after that according to News channels 

Houston TranStar said it was a hazmat cleanup. Probably all of the above. 

It is a mess. Semi drove across 5 lanes of traffic, jumped the barriers into the HOV lane. Took out a pick-up, Expedition and two cars along the way. Looked really bad, it was lucky there were no deaths the cars were pretty mangled. Diesel fuel and gas all over the road 

Geez! I am on the HOV South usually at 11 pm or 3 pm North coming home. Thank goodness I stayed home! I hope everyone involved was OK? I wonder what happened to the Truck Driver that made him do that? 

I think I heard on the news yesterday evening, the truck driver indicated that he had reached down to pick up something off of the floor board of his truck ... took his eyes off the road. 

Wow! How long was he looking down??
