They let your horses loose? That sounds ridiculous..

I agreed but then realized they might not have been able to do anything else.

It's better than keeping them stabled and letting them drown. This way they can get to high ground.

How about contacting the owners and letting them handle it? It didn't flood here til recently. With all the warning of epic rain storms, no one proactively thought about their horses?

Thanks for your phone #. Will be easier to report you to the SPCA for cruelty to animals. Animals go with the current so most likely they all drowned in the river. Why not walk them to safety if you were able to release them? You have no business owning a Horse!!😕😕

Brewgirl --- 7 years ago -

Don't judge things you know nothing about. Just say a prayer and hope these horses made it to safety. There is hope!

Katnmouse --- 7 years ago -

Really, the horses are boarded, where else did they have to take them? And, if current wasn't bad enough to wash the person letting them loose down stream, then the horses would not have gone down stream either. I've been around horses 50+ years, there's a reason they call it, "horse sense."

I think you missed the fact she is looking for HER horse because they were all set free. So quick to be so ugly.

All but 2 horses were found and rescued today. All 20+ horses have been checked, treated and monitored by vets all day and now eating and resting. A huge thank you for all of the volunteers for near and far who helped today working, bathing horses, donating water and vet supplies, bringing food, etc. Our horse community is amazing!! Praying we find the last two!!

Any luck with the missing horses?
