Does anyone know anything about it? It's by Raffa's, Zammitti's and Chimichurri's in the old Como Si Dice building. I saw a banner on it yesterday.

♥kerry♥ --- 16 years ago -

whats sharkeys?

Feisty1 --- 16 years ago -

Como Si Dice is already gone?

Fan4LSU27 --- 16 years ago -

Como Si Dice is already gone? That's what I was wondering - I thought I just saw it there . . .

MoveIt --- 16 years ago -

I saw the Como sign in the floor of an empty space near the parking garage. They have been working on the Wine Loft for over a year and I just saw the Sharkey's notice go up. What a waste of great space- keeping all of these buildings empty for so lone.

coach'sgirl --- 16 years ago -

I was wondering if the owner was our "one and only Sharky!" Do you think?? Hopefully it is some sort of a sports bar...that place really needs something like that to draw in some night life.

Fan4LSU27 --- 16 years ago -

Hopefully it is some sort of a sports bar...that place really needs something like that to draw in some night life. yeah, that is what i am hoping - some place to watch sports, have a beer

horns32 --- 16 years ago -

I second (actually third) the sports bar!!!

ET --- 16 years ago -

What a waste of great space- keeping all of these buildings empty for so lone. I'm guesssing that if they could find somebody to pay the rent they would.

iwaveatcows --- 16 years ago -

so what happened w/Como si dice

~sassy~ --- 16 years ago -

I saw the Como sign in the floor of an empty space near the parking garage. They have been working Moveit! How goes it?

ET --- 16 years ago -

so what happened w/Como si dice Kingwood was not ready for "Mexican with a twist" I guess....

RCSKI --- 16 years ago -

No, but we are going to Zachary's Cajun Cafe in the front of Kingwood. It will open in about a month where Berry Hill's was at.

Judy --- 16 years ago -

Sharky's is opening soon - by the same owners of Como Se Dice. They are going to have seafood, burgers, etc. and I think a little bit more reasonable than the Mexican food.

NewMommy --- 16 years ago -

Thanks Judy! I only went to Como Se Dice once and it was really good.

poopy pants --- 16 years ago -

Zachary's Cajun Cafe ya dont say...prices?

Pampered Chel --- 16 years ago -

I saw the sign last week and was wondering what it was. I was really hoping that it was a Sports Bar. We need some night life around here.

ghostpost --- 16 years ago -

Any reviews on Sharkeys yet?

bgv74 --- 16 years ago -

My wife and I stoped by there on Friday night for a drink after dinner. It seems like a bar and grill type of place. We had a couple of drinks, which were nice and strong. It does have several smaller (maybe 32") TVs around the bar with sports on. My personal opionion is that they need at least one pretty good size TV for the main game. Sharky's looks like a winner to me though.

PeauxBoy --- 16 years ago -

We actually ate there last night with a pretty large group. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised after pretty low expectations. Portions were nice sized and prices were reasonable. Quite a few in our group had the shrimp po boys, which were probably the best I ever tried outside of Louisiana. Definitely plan on going again...

stampin' gal --- 16 years ago -

Quite a few in our group had the shrimp po boys, which were probably the best I ever tried outside of Louisiana. wow, those are some big expectations to fill!!! i'll have to send hubby over there and see if he agrees :)

marthas attic (Mod) --- 16 years ago -

como was good but with all the other mexican places in Kingwood, they were having a hard time getting lots of business.

lovebearbranch --- 16 years ago -

We're excited to hear your description peauxboy! We've got a family night planned there this Thursday to check it out. And yes, we are in dire need of a good place to watch march madness and college football in kwood, so I hope it also fits the bill for a decent sports bar/pub that is family friendly during the day (somewhere we can take our boys after their sports games) and a good place for an adult get together in the evening. Although we have been impressed with Raffas, Chimichurris, and Zamittis, that development needs a casual burger/po boy joint that isnt too pricey and serves cold beverages! I also heard a rumor that they might put in some boat docks at Kings Harbor. I think that would be pretty cool for the kids to sit out on the deck and watch boats pull in and out. I know its kind of shallow there, so hoping they can make it work.

ghostpost --- 16 years ago -

Good to know that the reviews so far are positive. I agree that a casual bar and grill is a good option. I wasn't about Como Si Dice. But we'll give Sharkys a try this weekend.

Sue --- 16 years ago -

I wish Johnny Rockets had opened as originally planned. Their burgers and shakes are awesome!

ghostpost --- 16 years ago -

bump for txboy

BrittanyJade --- 16 years ago -

From what I hear it's the same owners as como si dice, but a totally new resturant. Seafood now.

Jpgirl --- 16 years ago -

We went last night-I had the shrimp poboy and dh had the fish and chips sandwich. Both very good. Talked to the manager-he was very interested in our opinion. Lots of families in there last night-we'll be back

Andy --- 16 years ago -

Yes, you are correct. It is the same owner as Como Se Dice. As a matter of fact, those people own the whole complex. I think they are trying to open a different restaurant because the complex is not leasing like expected. I am willing to try Sharkey's, but I wish that they would have completed the center before just changing one of the restaurants.

Bubbles --- 16 years ago -

So, how was it BearBranch? Anyone else been?

Fan4LSU27 --- 16 years ago -

I went the other day and got a hamburger. It was okay, I think I just have a problem with the decor and service. It is very open and not welcoming feeling inside and the service was slow as heck. I would probably give it another try or two cause it wasn't so bad I wouldn't return but I will try the fish next time I guess . . .

Allimama --- 16 years ago -

If any of you KUers are restauranteers, then please advised that we are in need of Indian and Greek food up here. We DO NOT need anymore Mexican or Chinese restaurants. We're all full up!

Fan4LSU27 --- 16 years ago -

we are in need of Indian and Greek food up here. I agree with you 100%, the other day all I wanted was a Gyro and I couldn't find anywhere to get one!

Cinderella --- 16 years ago -

AMEN Allimama. No more mexican, chinese, dry cleaners or nail salons Good Lord how many can you have in one small community How about a nice steak house so we don't have to go to the Woodlands!!!

PeauxBoy --- 16 years ago -

I think they are trying to open a different restaurant because the complex is not leasing like expected. I am willing to try Sharkey's, but I wish that they would have completed the center before just changing one of the restaurants. Midway Development owns the complex. Sharky's/Como se Dice is just another tenant in the complex.

RCSKI --- 16 years ago -

I was just told by a friend of mine that eats out a lot that Como Se Dice is overpriced average food. Not too good.

Fan4LSU27 --- 16 years ago -

Midway Development owns the complex. Sharky's/Como se Dice is just another tenant in the complex. They actually own this restaurant as well as the development.

chappy --- 16 years ago -

One of the partners in Sharkey's is the CEO of Midway, who is the developer of the project. He was also a partner in Como Se Dice.

PeauxBoy --- 16 years ago -

One of the partners in Sharkey's is the CEO of Midway, who is the developer of the project. He was also a partner in Como Se Dice. Brad is part of the ownership of Sharkey's? Yikes.

Elf :) --- 16 years ago -

Fot the gyro bunch - I saw a sign the other day at the old Nick and Willies Pizza Place and it looked like a gyro place is opening up there - that is what it said on the window. DH will be thrilled! :) Anyone have any better info.? It is right next to the Baskin Robbins and I believe the Mail N More.
