4 or 5 year program?

sweetscreaminmonkey --- 14 years ago -

i think 4.. he goes in July for his orientation.. but i think he told me 4 yrs

HARP --- 14 years ago -

Oh ok. My husband is about to start his 4th year of a 5yr professional program(which allows you to go get licensed rather than doing 4 yr undergrad and a masters before your license) at University of Houston.

Its SUPER tough, and most of the students sleep at the school, but he does some pretty amazing stuff, and I can't wait til he is licensed!

Congrats to your son! One word of advice, tell him he will never use any of the stuff they tell him he has to buy at the beginning of the first semester. NEVER LOL

How are you about him going out of state? My middle one is going out of state to college, i am still having issues with it.
But, as a mom, we have to let them spread their wings and fly!

What other schools has he applied to. This one isn't ranked by US News and World Reports.

US News and World Reports Rankings

rednecktek --- 14 years ago -

i am sure that the school is thanking your wallet, grats your know broke, get a second or third mortgage on your home.

RedMulch --- 14 years ago -

education is worth ever dime .........in in this world..........education is the answer redneck

freshhe11 --- 14 years ago -

I'm happy for you and him. My boys left and I don't expect them back. But I am happy that they are living good lives and not feeling depressed and living with Mom.

~grandma again~ --- 14 years ago -

WONDERFUL!!!! Congratualtions to both of you. I am doing the happy dance. I know this means so much to both of you.

another perspective --- 14 years ago -

Glad for acceptance.....but wonder why one would pay more for out of state education than the serious bargin that is to be found within the state? The rankings of several in state schools are higher and the cost is WAAAAY less....just wondering.....

i am sure that the school is thanking your wallet

That's what should be of concern.

Is this school accrediated, and if so, where is it ranked among peers. What will a degree from this institution, based on historical info, is likely to make a job available for son.

Yep,,,,,if you graduate from a college......you should know how to spell accredited........

hummer --- 14 years ago -

Congrats!!!!

TexasOma --- 14 years ago -

Congratualtions to both of you.

silvergal --- 14 years ago -

Congratulations !

Aah Grasshoppa --- 14 years ago -

Way to go!

Agent of Change --- 14 years ago -

Horrors. My bad spelling mistake. Obviously more a more egregious error in your opinion rather than pointing out whether an institution has an accreditation rating.

Dorothy Parker --- 14 years ago -

Wow! How exciting for him and what a proud moment for you!!!

Congratulations!!! :)

sweetscreaminmonkey --- 14 years ago -

sorry i was off here last night.. thanks to all..

and to agents of change and another perspective, he has wanted to go to this school for a long time. i dont care if it is in state or not.. he has done his 2 yrs here at blinn in college station.. this is an accredited school. and he already has a job offer after school if he wants it, if not the way this place works is he goes to school at night and has a paid internship during the day so when he graduates he has several years of experience in the job already.
