Aggies officially announced to the Big 12 that they are leaving.

Next stop.......... real football in the SEC.

Whoop!

StepDad --- 13 years ago -

Good for them. At some point they needed to take care of themselves, cause UT ain't log for the Big12, 11, 10, 9 or whatever its called.

What I can't wait for is to see how they stack up against their new SEC brothers....some are saying they will fall in the bottom 1/3.

Me, I think definitely in the top half.

StepDad --- 13 years ago -

Regardless of how they compete, they are now part of a league that understands that their strength comes from being unified, and to some extent, sharing the pie equally.

They no longer have to worship the "Burnt Orange" calf

It will be funny to watch them win the Big 12 this year and the very next year be bottom 2 or 3.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 13 years ago -

Not so fast. They've only divorced themselves from the Big 12.

No word yet on an official statement that they'll be joining the SEC. (even though this is the foregone conclusion)

Just a matter of time.

Not a chance unless they step up their play BIG TIME. Every week is a big week in the SEC. While every team may not be a national championship contender, every SEC team is good enough to squash the hopes & dreams of those that are!

It's been done since last year when Nebraska and Colorado left.

Texas and OU talked dwith the Pac 12 and A&M said screw it.

Aah Grasshoppa --- 13 years ago -

A&M will adapt to Big 12 play. They won't be embarassed like so many hope they will be.

jjfingrainalready --- 13 years ago -

A&M will adapt to Big 12 play.

A&M hasn't adapted to Big 12 play since 1998

This is exactly what I'm talking about

Kevin --- 13 years ago -

A&M didn't have a chance in the Big 12 and they won't have one in the SEC either...Now 10 to 20 years down the road maybe..The unfortunate thing is now the SEC will have an in to the coveted Texas high school market of athletes that they haven't had before... HOOK'EM \../

Pffft...do you follow recruiting at all?

No kidding! If you're in Tx, say our Houston area and can't/don't want to go to Texas, but want to stay relatively close to home, where's the next big powerhouse? LSU baby!
