I need a dentist that can work out payments...I work but dont have insurance and i need a bridge fixed....Anyone that have any suggestions? 

I'm sure they take credit cards, but call around and ask about payment plans. I know my daughters doctor charged less for her visits when we paid out of pocket and she didn't have to mess with insurance. Have you thought about using the dental school? 

Call Dr. Ron Smitth in Humble. He will take payments, possibly post dated checks and also offers some sort of credit card, payment plan. 

Do you have good/decent credit? Most dentists take Care Credit and some of the plans give you 6 months no interest. 

dentist and affordable don't go together LOL. Yes, CareCredit is great.

Can you get Care Credit or something similar? Lots of dentists take that. 

For those who have been on KU for anytime, will know that Dr. Kreit is the one who made the set of dentures for the man Catgirl did the KU fundraiser for. We seen before and after pic's and it turned out really nice. 

Don't go to Dr. Ficken or Lovett Dental in Humble!!! Ficken charges out the wazoo and most of the time they get the billing wrong so you will not notice and pay more. Lovett is just AWEFUL! I think I could do better dental work then the people there, they act like they are all students. The assistant was telling the dentist what to do. 

I went to a great dentist this week.

He's the best dentist I've gone to in a very long time. But when I got the bill I realized he was "dentist to the stars". Ouch.

But I'd still use the same guy again. I'd rather pay more now then lose a tooth to a screw up. Going to try to negotiate next time though....

There are some really awful dentists around here so I was happy to "overpay" for a good one.

When my son was little and didn't have dental insurance, took him to UT dental school. GREAT job!! All of the work is overseen by dentists. I paid a small portion and well worth it! 

I know that when my daughter graduated from dental school, a lot of the graduates went to work at chains. They just want them to push through as many people as they can every day. All that she knew, left as soon as they could find something else. Of course, I'm sure there are chains that are great!

I just had a lot of dental work done at his office. I was very pleased. It was still quite a bit of money, but quite a bit less than what I would have paid. You do have to drive a distance and you have to wait a while when you get there. I will use this place again in the future.
