Hello,

I am looking for an honest, reasonable plumber for four to five things! Any suggestions? I am in Kings River! 

I know Mike the Plumber used to work at Alpha Omega but he moved somewhere else. We just had another guy from Alpha Omega this week and he did a great job. He fixed one toilet completely the first time around, but the second one still needed a little tweaking. He came back a second time at no charge. Don't recall the guy's name, but A-O seems to be a good, honest company. 

I second ALpha Omega - reasonable rates and quick to fix the problem.

This is interesting. We've used them plenty of times and had no problems at all. Why do you say they're shady and not to be trusted? 

Mike the plumer went to work for RotoRooter. If you call them, ask for Michael. There's another Mike their from what he said in a previous post.

Oh, brother. Nothing but sterling reviews for years on here...so what's the story???? 

There has been considerable debate on this board about leveling attacks at people's businesses lately, MAzz who hasn't posted in almost a year before today.

A-O is a perfectly legit and honest outfit.

So is GAP Plumbing, whom I have the distinct privilege of being able to vouch for not as a customer but as a vendor. GAP Plumbing has been one of my customers for as long as they have been in business and they are great folks who run a good outfit. You can reach them at 281-435-0178 

Thanks for the input! I will see if anyone can come out tomorrow. I need a new faucet installed and then there is the toilet that my husband flushed his glasses down by mistake. 

I wouldn't recommend Lakeside. Have no insight on A-O.

About 5 years ago that was exactly the case. Then Michael went to work for them & he told me they fired several people & changed some policies. I used them & didn't have any issues. I have called Roto Rooter & asked for Michael but he wasn't trained yet so I had someone else come out & they were very good.

I have called Roto Rooter & asked for Michael but he wasn't trained yet so I had someone else come out & they were very good.

Ok just so you all will have an education. The big companys pay comission only. This results in higher charges for you. The absolute truth - a lady called me tonight, she use Rooter Rooter and they wanted $550 to replace a leaking copper T in her water line. We charge $300 - Doug at Alpha Omega is on the same level. She cancelled heer call with RR and we will be there at 8AM tomorrow.

NEVER use John Moore - they have been kicked out of the BBB - yes! The BBB for Unethitcal business practices. Go to the BBB site ad look up John Moore Services - its actually interesting reading. We are Gold Star Rated, I have not looked up Alpha Omega - I want to stress - they are friends - not a competitor to us.

Lakeside is awful. 

Lakeside-NEVER AGAIN!!! CROOKS!!! AND INCOMPETENT!!! 

we have used AO for a lot of work, even digging under the foundation for a repair. would use them for any future need. 

I have used AO very christian based company. The person that came out was very professional and polite.

At the time mentioned above Doug did NOT take care of it. Passed the buck down to the others but like I said that was years ago. I only used him because of Michael, he promised me they had changed people & policies so I did. They were all very professional. 

I know of a good plumber really nice and affordable. He does a good job. He is currently working on my house and is very proffesional.

OK..if you really want to know...I had them out for a job in December. Quoted me an amnount fix it. I was fine with that and they even were trying to get out here to get it done quickly. Then a few days before the job they wanted half of the money up front. I questioned the rep. of the company about it, and they said they were burned in the past and to trust us. Sorry but I do not trust any contractor who wants half of the money up front. Big red flag for me. Well, the owner got mad because I questioned it and refused to do business with me. That's fine with me because there are plenty of plumbers that would have done the job without asking for money up front. After all that, the City of Houston came out and ended up fixing everything for free.
I will say the plumbers who came out for Alpha and Omega were very nice and seemed to know their stuff. My problem is with the management.
Also, yes I do not post often on here, because I have a life and a job that keeps me busy.

the BBB is nothing more than business in itself. And nobody ever goes to the BBb to make good comments, only negative ones. If you want to pay the fee, you can have a perfect A rating. BBB doesnt investigate claims either. They just put the claim out there on the web. Your'e better off getting local advice when looking for service. The BBB is a JOKE!
