OW! It was on my bathrobe! I was sitting at the vanity after my shower and OW! I was like, WTF?! I have never been stung before. At least I know I am not allergic. I have a big itchy welt on my shoulder blade. Wasp are IN my house!!!

Smoochie and The Bean --- 12 years ago -

Ouch!! Sorry :(

~grandma again~ --- 12 years ago -

Tea Tree Oil if you have any. Meat tenderizer if you have any. Benedryl if you have any. I put ice packs on mine, too for the swelling. That is pretty much all i can come up with.

LOL. What are the odds of getting stung in the house?? Has he dearly departed yet??

They say if you mix some dirt with a little water and make mud and put it on there, it soothes the sting and helps draw the stinger out.

Ashley87 --- 12 years ago -

Use vinegar .. Wasp stings are base, so using an acid will help

TinktheSprite --- 12 years ago -

I never saw him! Don't they die after they sting? The thought of that makes me feel better.

~grandma again~ --- 12 years ago -

They are terrible outside right now. I don't know what that is about. Tonight at about dusk, all of my birdhouses are going to get a good spraying of wasp killer and just might be burned in the burn pile.

LMAO. I think they do. But if I saw the culprit, i might have to send him on his way a bit ealier. :P

Bees die after giving up their stinger, but wasps give up nothing but the venom...so they live to sting another day.

TinktheSprite --- 12 years ago -

Oh, crud!

TexasOma --- 12 years ago -

We had one get in the truck & didn't notice it until out started flying around hubby driving down 105. Scared the do-what out of us.

AngieKaye --- 12 years ago -

wet tobacco and put it on there draws the poison out, then put meat tenderizor on it.. They both work well and the poison will be gone.

AngieKaye --- 12 years ago -

Watch Tree oil or Tea oil. I am allergic to both and if you are then the wasp sting will be 10x worse

blueherron4 --- 12 years ago -

Use cigarette tobacco on it. Just wet it and put it on the sting and it will pull all of the venom out

Use cigarette tobacco on it.

ugh! gross! smoking is so gross, I would never have that around my house to have as a remedy or otherwise.

ExLady In Blue --- 12 years ago -

A baking soda paste helps draw out the venom, but normally you have to remove the stinger with a pair of tweezers. And, like another poster said, wasps live on to sting another day.

TinktheSprite --- 12 years ago -

I found another bite on my shoulder. :(

ExLady In Blue --- 12 years ago -

Are you sure it was a wasp? Did you actually see the wasp? I will say this, I had one wasp in the house a couple of days ago. I have NO IDEA where it came from and the cat saw it, first, but when he dive bombed me while standing in front of the sink, I found an old can of hairspray and sent him to his grave. Outside is one thing, but inside, they're going to die.

Haha- I agree. But when I was one, I was sitting in the backyard and stuck my hand under a bush and grabbed a nest. I had something like 30 stings. While waiting for the ambulance, my parents put tobacco on all the stings. I was fine after that, and the ambulance even left. Ahhh- the 70's!

Just get someone that does smoke or buy a small pack of chewing tobacco, doesn't have to be cigs. Snuff works the best as its almost double the niccotine.

AngieKaye --- 12 years ago -

LOL made me remember all the stuff my dad used snuff on.. WOW those were the times! Used to spit it down our horses mouth to deworm them... worked too!

BellaLaVie --- 12 years ago -

They don't bite, they sting.

Bees die after giving up their stinger, but wasps give up nothing but the venom...so they live to sting another day.

Only female honey bee's die after using their stinger.
