A girlfriend and I are interested in becoming involved in a local political organization. We both lean right but don't agree with some of the conservative agenda. We also prefer an organization for women.

Which ones are available? Are they mainly fundraisers and social organizations?

I know Kingwood has a Republican Women's club. My neighbor use to belong a few years back. I'm not sure what their core is tho, you can google it and I'm sure their website will come up.

Did you know women are to blame for the loss of freedom in the United States?

They are the ones to blame for the nanny state. They are the reason why your toilet clogs every flush and why you can't buy a decent shower head. Women are the reason 1/3 of your income goes to the government. Women are the reason why Republicans care more about abortion than the deficit.

1. Women actually vote more than men.

2. Women are far more likely to vote Democrat over a Republican or Libertarian candidate.

3. Women are far more likely to sacrifice their liberty for perceived safety.

4. Women are far more likely to support welfare, socialized medicine, and other forms of redistribution of wealth.

5. Women were first given the right to vote in the the United States under president Woodrow Wilson.

The Republican Organization for women meets at the country club. SMH

They lost me right there. The last thing that party needs is a meeting location that reinforces a bad stereotype to the public. Why not a library meeting room, or other neighborhood meeting rooms? Sometimes my fellow women just embarrass me. Humpty just listed even more reasons.

True dat but why is this? Every human trait should be understood in terms of its evolutionary advantage that it offers. Why are women less confident in their ability to protect and provide for their family? Simple. When mankind was still young, the women who sought out men for protection were more likely to have their offspring survive. Seeking out protection from others gave women an evolutionary advantage.

On the other hand, men who were more independent, were more likely to find women and procreate with them. A man could impregnate a women in a neighboring village without compromising his ability to protect his family. Also, men who were more confident in their abilities were more likely to impress a woman. More confident men usually produce more or kill more. Women like confidence in a man. There is a reason for that.

Humpy, people don't roll that way anymore in case you haven't noticed.

As people evolve out of just the survival mode, and women work and can take care of themselves, and even vote, they can also pick a man who isn't a caveman.

Tho it may take a while. :)

PM the lovely tatooeddragon. She is feeling very disenfranchised right now by the right wing and would probably help you find one or start one.

By the way...TAT is one of my favorite folks on here and she is as sharp as she is beautiful.

Oh...and I fully intend to volunteer for whom ever is running against Sheila Jackson Lee.

I will do what ever I can to see that she becomes unemployed next November.

Anyone care to join me?

Women have decided every election since 1964 - they have the numbers and they vote for the Dems. 70.4 million women voted in 2008 vs 60.7 million men, handing the election to BHO. 70% of single female voters voted for BHO over McCain. These women now seek support from this government including forcing men to purchase maternity coverage insurance, not an idea created by a man.

So what is the problem with a woman's desire for protection being applied to governments? Well, government is not a single man who will care for her children. By its very nature, a government can not know the intimate details of what that woman desires. A government will not put one woman's needs over another woman, as a father and protector would.

There are also the obvious financial reasons why government can not be a woman's protector. It only takes a cursory understanding to see that the major governments of the world are on the verge of bankruptcy. While governments spend more of our money, they simultaneously decrease our incentive to work for it. History has proven time and again that people do not work as hard when they must share what they produce in exchange for a portion of what other people produce. The less productive a society, the lower their standard of living will be. Free markets created a world of prosperity, a world nearly free from fear and hunger. Governments elected by women have added little, yet taken much.

What can be done about this? Nothing. All they have to do is shake their little tails for us and we stop caring that the world is burning.

Here's one for you, humpy....almost all elected officials are men!

Yep. They made the laws and run the government too.

Why don't they have better sense? From what you quoted, they can trick women into voting for them and get into office and then save the world with their great decisions.

Oops, guess that didn't happen!
