Sent in forms for Homestead and senior 65 discount and protest of value on April 30 with a return receipt. Got the return receipt back while I was on a month long trip to Europe. But have not gotten any info in my huge stack of mail. How do they notify you? 

Look at your account on HCAD.org. Put in your address and it should bring up the page that shows if Homestead and over 65 exemptions have been applied.

They won't notify other than updating your account. 

I found out by looking on the HCAD about the homeseaad exception and it didn't take long after I had mailed it in to them. 

We filed for the exemption before the April Deadline. I got this when I put my address in. Cookin Queen? What kind of return receipt did you get? One from the USPO?:
"Not Certified" 

Theres only 1 hour left to i-file your property tax protest! The appraisal district deadline is June 2nd at midnight!
